Goderich has long been known as the “Prettiest Town in Canada.” That reputation is an asset, but it must be protected and strengthened.

This claim should be more than a slogan. It should be reflected in the condition of our roads, public spaces, parks, entrances, downtown, waterfront, sidewalks, streetscapes, signage, landscaping, and overall appearance.

Community appearance matters. It affects tourism, resident pride, business attraction, investment confidence, and quality of life. A clean, attractive, well-maintained community tells people that Goderich cares about itself and its future.

Improving the appearance of the community does not always require large spending. It can also come from better coordination, maintenance standards, beautification efforts, partnerships, volunteer support, service club involvement, and thoughtful planning.

With the right plan and the right investment, Goderich can be a vibrant community hub for generations to come. While economic development is incredibly important, it is not just about attracting new businesses.

Economic development is also about supporting the businesses that are already here.
Council needs to ensure that existing businesses are not overlooked while pursuing new investment.

Goderich is a special place. But we face real pressures. Pressures like healthcare access, economic growth, aging infrastructure, and rising service costs.

I'm running for Deputy Mayor because I believe this community deserves practical leadership, fair decisions, and a councillor who is accountable to the people they serve. That's exactly what I've worked to be, and it's exactly what I'll continue to do.

Goderich is a wonderful place to grow up. But too many of our young people leave because the opportunities just aren't here.

I want to try and change that by supporting local businesses, attracting responsible investment, and re-establishing a youth committee on Council.

Young people deserve an official voice at the table and Goderich will benefit.
If we want them to stay, we need to show them they belong here.
