East Selkirk, MB R0E 0M0 St. Clements is a rural municipality in Manitoba, Canada.

It is located to the north-east of Winnipeg, stretching from East St. Paul and Birds Hill Provincial Park in the south to Lake Winnipeg and Grand Beach Provincial Park to the north. The Red River demarcates the western boundary of the municipality. Clements contains the communities of East Selkirk, Lockport, Libau, Grand Marais as well as numerous resort areas. It almost completely surrounds the B

rokenhead 4 Indian reserve, with the exception of a small lakefront on Lake Winnipeg. Its population as of the 2016 census was 10,876. The city of Selkirk borders it to the west, across the Red River of the North.

💨 With the recent windy conditions, we’ve received reports of garbage and recycling carts tipping over or recyclables blowing away before collection.

To help keep recyclables contained and reduce litter, residents are encouraged to use blue recycling bags inside their recycling carts whenever possible. This can help prevent loose items from blowing around on windy collection days.

NEW Well Water Testing Cost Coverage Program – Northeast Red Watershed District

The RM of St. Clements is pleased to share a new opportunity for residents to access well water bacteria testing with additional cost coverage through the Northeast Red Watershed District.

This program supports private well owners across the entire RM of St. Clements and is in addition to the existing provincial subsidy program.

🧪 How the Program Works

Residents are responsible for collecting their own water sample following the provided instructions. Samples must be taken directly from your drinking water tap and brought to the RM office.

📍 Drop-Off Details:
Location: RM of St. Clements Office, 1043 Kittson Rd
Deadline: June 9, 2026 by 10:00 a.m.
Samples will be refrigerated at the RM office and transported to the lab by the Northeast Red Watershed District.

⏱ Timing is Important:

Residents should collect their sample the morning of June 9, 2026, just prior to drop-off. Do not collect samples in advance, as testing accuracy depends on timely submission.

💲 Cost Coverage:

Analysis will be completed by Duracan Laboratories, the same lab used in the provincial program.

📌 Important Reminder

🚨 Mayor Debbie Fiebelkorn has officially been released! 🚨

Yesterday, Mayor Debbie Fiebelkorn took part in the McHappy Day “Jail or Bail” fundraiser at the Selkirk McDonald’s — all in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities Manitoba. 👮‍♀️🍟❤️

Local leaders, business owners, and RCMP officers were “locked up” and challenged to raise bail money through community donations, helping support families with sick children across Manitoba.

Thank you to everyone who donated, stopped by, rounded up their orders, or supported the event in any way. Community events like this show what can happen when people come together for a great cause.
