On Vimy Day, we honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served at Vimy Ridge and all who gave so much for Canada. Their legacy is woven into our national story and reminds us of who we are a people shaped by courage, service, unity, and sacrifice. In remembering them, we remember our responsibility to carry those values forward. May we never take this freedom for granted.

Today, we remember the thousands of Canadians who fought and gave their lives in the Battle of Vimy Ridge in 1917. 🇨🇦

To them and all Canadians in uniform, we say thank you for your service.

Honoured to speak and recognize the legacy of Agnes Campbell MacPhail Canada’s first female Member of Parliment Canada.

Her leadership broke barriers and opened doors for women across this country.

Today, we continue that work building stronger communities, creating opportunities, and leading with purpose.

This is the legacy we carry forward.

Breaking Barriers. Building Bridges.
Soaring Together.

The Grey Bruce Community Safety and Well-Being Plan (CSWBP) is inviting all residents to participate in a region-wide to improve safety, health, and quality of life across Grey and Bruce Counties.

About the CSWBP Survey: It allows community members to share their experiences, priorities, and concerns on issues such as:

- Housing

- Community Belonging
- Crime
- Access to Services

Feedback gathered will directly influence the 2026-2031 Community Safety and Well-Being Plan and will help partners better understand local strengths, challenges, and emerging needs.

The survey is available online and in-person at a variety of accessible locations including municipal offices, libraries, community hubs and partner organization sites throughout the region until April 19, 2026.

*All respondents will have the chance to win one of twenty (20) $50 gift cards! Participants can choose to enter the draw after completing the survey.

Today, we pause in reflection as the Canadian flag is lowered to half-mast to honour those impacted by the tragedy in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia.

In moments like this, our country comes together in quiet remembrance standing with families, first responders, and communities carrying unimaginable loss.

May we hold space for one another with kindness, compassion, and respect.

Keeping everyone affected in our thoughts and prayers. 🇨🇦

The flag on the Peace Tower will be flown at half-mast until sunset on February 17, 2026, to mark the tragedy that occurred in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, on February 10, 2026.

Today is International Day of Education and I’m feeling deeply greatful.

This photo takes me back to a proud milestone, graduating from Brock University with my Bachelor of Education in Adult Education 🎓💙

As a community leader, literacy advocate, and women’s empowerment champion, I’ve always believed education is one of the most powerful tools we have to break barriers, build confidence, and open doors for individuals, families, and entire communities.

One thing I’m proud of in my journey is this:

I finish what I start.

Even when it takes longer than expected, I stay committed to the work and I’m greatful I did.

Today, I’m more motivated than ever to keep advocating for accessible education, stronger opportunities, and pathways that help people thrive especially those navigating challenges like transportation, affordability, or limited supports.
Education changes lives and together, we keep soaring. 🕊️✨

Here we go again, say it ain’t snow. It should come as no surprise to residents across the snowbelt east of Lake Huron and southeast of Georgian Bay that more snow is on the way to end the week. After a relentless stretch of lake effect activity, snow squalls are set to ramp back up on Friday as a...

Focused conversations. Serious collaboration. Real outcomes. This year marked my 4th ROMA Conference and my 4th set of delegations advocating for the priorities that matter most to our community including healthcare access.

I was honoured to participate alongside Mayor Brian Milne, Deputy Mayor Barbara Dobreen, Councillor Joan John, MPP Paul Vickers and our dedicated Township team including Clerk Lindsey Green and CAO Jim Ellis as well as Alex Hector, Executive Director of the South East Grey Community Health Centre.

Thank you to MPP Anthony Leardi for meeting with us and listening intently to our community priorities. These conversations matter and so does ensuring families can access the care they need, closer to home.

I will continue to show up, advocate, and work with partners committed to real solutions.
