Yesterday, we were fortunate to welcome six students from Islands Consolidated School’s O2 class to the Balancing Rock Trail for a day of volunteer trail maintenance.

The students worked hard throughout the day, helping to spread gravel in several washout areas, install a new bench along the trail, and sweep all 252 steps leading to the iconic Balancing Rock.

As a thank you for their hard work and dedication, the students enjoyed a well-earned BBQ at the end of the day.

We extend our sincere appreciation to these students for volunteering their time and energy.

Community partnerships like this help keep our trails safe, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone. Thank you for making a difference!

It's Access Awareness Week from May 31st to June 6th 🌟

Access Awareness Week is a time to recognize the importance of creating inclusive, accessible communities where everyone can fully participate.

The provincial theme this year is "Disability Justice: Stronger Together, First Voice Leading Change”.

This week encourages us all to reflect on how we can remove barriers and help build a more welcoming and inclusive community for people of all abilities.
