We want to take a moment and thank everyone for their patience and understanding during the bridge work on Bear Creek Road.
Bear Creek Road will remain open with one lane of traffic available through the long weekend.
Degagne Aggregates have installed all sections of the new bridge. They will return early next week to complete the final stages
of the bridge install.

Update Bear Creek Road is open as of 2:40 p.m. Thursday September 3, 2026.
A big thank you to everyone for your ongoing patience and understanding as the contractor continues to work on the bridge
on Bear Creek Rd to complete this important infrastructure upgrade. One lane of traffic is open. Please drive with caution as workers and equipment will be active in the area to finalize work on the bridge.

Reminder -Bear Creek Road will be closed on Thursday, September 3 due to unforeseen circumstances to allow for further delivery of the Bear Creek Bridge. The road will be closed from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank everyone for their ongoing patience and understanding as the contractor works to complete this important infrastructure upgrade.
The Fire Department will have a truck stationed on the west side of the closure to respond to any emergency calls.

At the September 1, 2026 Council Meeting, Council was honoured to present Riley Bell with a certificate of achievement for the gold medals she earned at the Special Olympics Summer Games, in Medicine Hat, AB.
Wishing Riley continued success as she prepares for the World Games in Chile!
