PEI Municipal Elections Training & Updates

September | Candidates & Voters Information Sessions
Municipal Affairs is hosting municipal elections information sessions for voters and potential candidates. Topics include the election process, voting requirements, candidate responsibilities, and timelines. No registration is required for in-person sessions. Register for the online session by emailing [email protected]. Sessions are available on the following dates:
• Sept. 14: O’Leary Access PEI, 10 am-12 pm
• Sept. 16: Montague Access PEI, 10 am-12 pm
• Sept. 22: Summerside Access PEI, 10 am-12 pm
• Sept. 24: Charlottetown Library – Rotary Room, 10 am-12 pm
• Sept. 25: Virtual Session, 12-1 pm
September-October | Election Officials Training
Municipal Affairs is offering two-part municipal elections training for election officials. No registration is required. The options include the following:
• Part 1: Sept. 28, Summerside Access PEI, 10 am-12 pm; or Sept. 29, Aubin-Arsenault Building, Charlottetown, 10 am-12 pm
• Part 2: Oct. 19, Summerside Access PEI, 10 am-12 pm; or Oct. 20, Charlottetown, 10 am-12 pm
October 7-16 | Nomination Period
Municipal election nominations open Oct. 7 and close Oct. 16 at 2 pm. Find information and resources on the provincial Municipal Elections website and the Resources for Candidates page.
Nov. 21 | FPEIM Municipal Orientation
Following municipal elections in the fall, FPEIM will host an orientation session and webinar series for all new and returning mayors, councillors, and CAOs. The in-person session is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 21, 9 am-4 pm, at the Murchison Centre in Charlottetown. The day will include lessons in leadership, emerging trends, and the council-CAO relationship, plus the chance to hear from Housing and Communities Minister Kent Dollar. Find the current agenda here. Registration will open after the elections.

Riptide Softball is proud to come together as a community to support the Community Fridge & Pantry at Stanhope Place. We’re collecting food, monetary donations, and household essentials to help ensure local families and neighbours have access to the necessities they need.
