The other day with the herd, there was a quiet exchange I’ll carry with me.

A horse’s nuzzle on my forehead, soft, present, unspoken. Connection and complete peace.

Something in that moment wasn’t a lesson, but a recognition that brought me back to myself.

To my soft power.

Like a lighthouse, grounded, steady, connected to what surrounds it, but not constantly giving its light outward.

It doesn’t perform. It doesn’t push. It doesn’t exhaust itself reaching in every direction.

The light comes and goes in its own rhythm, and the strength is in the stillness it stands in.

And maybe that’s what I’ve been learning.

That presence doesn’t require depletion.

That connection doesn’t require constant output of energy.

Just like the lighthouse, I can stay rooted and open at the same time, and still, only what meets the light is what is seen.

And so what is seen, is seen🤎

There are spaces where I listen more than I speak.
Where I sit back and observe,
not holding back,
just knowing.

Knowing when it’s time.
When something inside me is ready to move.

Because when it is… it doesn’t whisper.

It rises.
A rush in my chest.
A full-bodied, undeniable yes.

The kind that says, this might stretch you…
and you’re going anyway.

And sometimes, it’s not just the moment,
it’s the people.

The ones who truly see you.
Who recognize something in you
and invite you into a space
you may not have stepped into on your own.

That kind of trust… it means something.

I felt that.
Being handed a microphone in a different but familiar space,
welcomed into a community,
and trusted to use my voice in a new way, thank you 🎤

It was uncomfortable at first…
and then it wasn’t.

Because I didn’t need to be anyone else.
I just had to show up,
and let it flow like water🌊

And from that place, everything shifts.

You see people in their element.
You feel the moments more fully.

The finish line hugs.
The laughter.
The quiet determination
of someone choosing to keep going👟

Everyone out there is in their own moment,
their own stretch, their own story.

And somehow, it meets you
right where you are.

Maybe that’s what this is really about.

Not forcing your voice into every space,
but trusting the ones that call you forward…
and the people who invite you into them.

Because sometimes it feels like
there’s a butterfly sitting in my chest,
restless, ready🦋

And when you let it rise,
let it take flight,
you release something that was always meant to be shared,
not with everyone,
but with the ones who are ready to hear it.

The ones who recognize it.
Who feel it land.
Who take what they need from it…
and let the rest pass by.

And then… you rest.

Because my voice isn’t meant to be “on” all the time.

It moves in rhythm,
expression, release, recovery.

So that the next time
that full-bodied yes rises🌊

I have the space to meet it again.

And let it fly. 🦋

Sarah Freeman Coaching is grounded in lived experience, endurance swimming, life transitions, and community-based leadership.

I coach mainly women, and I also lead the Fearless Warrior Swim Squad, an all-gender swim community I’ve been running for over 20 years.

🏊🏼‍♀️Swim Coaching

In-the-water coaching focused on technique, strength, and confidence.

But it’s not just about how you swim.

It’s about how you show up as a whole person, because you don’t leave life at the pool deck.

You arrive with it: stress, transition, grief, change, identity shifts, growth.

My role is to create a structured, supportive space in the water where you can meet yourself fully while you swim.

So you can build strength, refine technique, and stay connected to yourself through it.

🏊🏼‍♀️Women’s Swim Experiences

Women’s Swim Experience’s dive into more than technique. These experiences are designed to build confidence, foster connection, and create a supportive space where women feel empowered in the water and beyond.

🏔️Beyond the Water Coaching

One-to-one coaching out of the water.

Beyond the Water Coaching is a space for women navigating seasons of transition, beyond the water!

This is where we look at what’s changing, and how to move forward from a grounded place.

This is NOT swim coaching.

It’s coaching shaped by lived experience and a deep understanding of transition.

🤎Swim It Forward

Each year, one young woman is supported as the Dreamer, working toward her swim vision.

It’s a ripple, powered by every woman I’ve known, every lesson I’ve lived, and every dream I’ve dared to chase.

5% of proceeds from all Sarah Freeman Coaching go directly toward her journey, for 2026 the amazing dreamer is .swims 🌊

Some days I stand on the pool deck.
Some days I stand in front of a room.

And for a long time, those felt like two very different versions of me.

On the pool deck, I’m grounded. Certain. In my element🏊🏼‍♀️
There’s rhythm, trust, and a quiet kind of strength that lives in the water.

Off the deck, speaking, leading, holding space in a different way, it didn’t always feel as natural. But I’ve come to realize… it’s the same strength, just expressed differently.

The same voice.
The same presence.
The same heartbeat.
The same woman🌊

We don’t have to become someone new to step into new spaces. We just learn to carry ourselves with us.

To the women finding their footing in unfamiliar rooms, your beautiful soft power doesn’t change, even when the setting does.

Trust it. It’s already yours.

Does anyone else feel like what you think you’re doing in the water… isn’t actually what you’re doing?

I noticed how different those two things can be.🫣

I’m working on my catch, getting my elbows higher at the front park of my stroke, to create more power. And it’s humbling. What I feel and what’s actually happening don’t always match.🤔

So I slowed down. Got curious. Stayed patient.

I noticed that feedback matters. Video matters. Having a coach reflect it back to you matters.

I also noticed this: I feel strong in the water right now.
Not rushed. Not forced. Strong. A Calm power.

That’s come from consistency, getting in and SWIMMING, and from building strength outside the water, too💪

You can read all the tips (even these).
But at some point, you have to get in the water and do the work🏊🏼‍♀️

Swim. Get feedback. Hire a coach. Keep showing up for you🤎

That’s where it shifts.
