Our hearts are full after an incredible Youth Leadership Conference yesterday 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

We are so grateful to the inspiring speakers Gena Boubard, Dee Sinclair-Hart, and Dene Guillas, who shared their stories, wisdom, and truth so generously. You created space for reflection, courage, and connection in ways that will stay with us for a long time.

To the amazing event volunteers, the Winnipeg River Lions Club and the kitchen team. Thank you for showing up with such kindness, care, and dedication. Events like this simply don’t happen without you.

We also want to recognize the teachers and school staff who continue to support and uplift youth every day. Your commitment helps create safer, more inclusive spaces where young people can truly be themselves.

And to the youth: your strength, honesty, and leadership are powerful. The way you showed up for yourselves and each other was nothing short of inspiring. You are already creating change, just by being exactly who you are.

This gathering was made even more meaningful through collaboration. Eastman Pride is proud to have co-hosted this event alongside Authentic 2Gether and the GSA at Black River Anishinabe School.

**A Personal Message ** Today is Transgender Day of Visibility, and High Tea Bakery is proud to once again be raising funds to support Klinic's Transgender Support Programming.

On this very important day, I have a personal message to the transgender community, especially to the youth. I want you to know that the algorithm is not reality. It is cruel and manipulative, and it will try to convince you that you are alone, that the whole world is against you.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE! We are here and we love you, we support you, and we will fight on your behalf, especially when it is too dangerous to do so yourselves.

Kindness is often quieter than hate, and even though I truly believe there is more compassion in this world than bigotry, it's probably also true that we don't make ourselves loud enough sometimes.

So I'm doing my best to be louder, to speak up, to take the hits so you don't have to. I have personally witnessed your strength, your struggles, and your bravery. You will always be safe and loved in our space, and I will always use my voice and privilege to fight for your rights.

Thank you to RBC Pride Committee for the nomination, and to all of the amazing nominees that were part of our group. There's amazing work happening in Manitoba, and incredible people doing this work in their own corners and regions and professions 🏳️‍🌈❤️🏳️‍⚧️
