✨ What a way to close out the season! ✨

Last night’s year-end carnival, From Broadway to Bobcaygeon, was the perfect finale to an incredible skating season. We are so proud of all our skaters for their hard work, growth, and amazing performances on the ice! 🎭⛸️

A huge thank you to our amazing coaches — Emma, Danielle, Marg, and Rachel — for their dedication, passion, and commitment all season long. A special thank you to Emma for the countless hours and heart she pours into making our carnival such a memorable event each year.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our past executive members, Patty, Teresa, and Wendy, for their continued support of the club. Thank you for helping with set-up and running the fundraising table — your dedication does not go unnoticed!

Congratulations to our award winners:
🏆 Jace and Olive – recipients of the Jane Junkin Memorial Award, honouring Jane’s memory and her deep love for our club.
😊 Locklynn – winner of the Always Smile Award for perceiving through injury this season.
⭐ Jennie – winner of the Shining Star Award for her ongoing support of the club

And finally, we want to wish Paige all the best as she moves on from our club this year. You will always have a place on our ice, and we are so grateful to have been part of your skating journey. 💙

🎉 Congratulations to Our CanSkate Stars! 🎉

Huge congratulations to all of the Bobcaygeon Skating Club skaters who competed in the CanSkate Challenge yesterday—we are so proud of each and every one of you as you begin your competition journey! ⛸️✨

A big thank you to our amazing coaches, Emma Jackson and Rachel Charity, who braved the cold and were on the ice all morning supporting our skaters (true champions themselves!).

Endless gratitude to Patty Tomlinson for all of her organizing and preparation, and for everything she donates to the Club to help raise funds—your dedication means so much to us.

Thank you as well to all of our wonderful volunteers who helped make the event run so smoothly. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

❄️ Weather Update ❄️

Even though the weather is not the best today, Bobcaygeon Skating Club programming will still go ahead as scheduled.

That said, your safety always comes first. If you feel it’s safer to stay home due to the weather or road conditions, that is absolutely okay — we completely understand.

As so many of our skaters are progressing, spots in our Pre CanSkate and CanSkate programs have opened up starting in January Both our Tuesday night and Thursday night programs have availability.

SESSION INFORMATION
Our 2025/2026 season runs on Tuesday and Thursday nights from October 14 & 16, 2025 through to March 26, 2026.

Our year end carnival is scheduled for March 27, 2026.

SCHEDULE
The schedule will be as follows:
Intro to Figure Skating (CanSkate 4, 5, 6 & Star 1)- 4:30-5:20 p.m.
Pre CanSkate - 5:35-6:20p.m.
CanSkate - 5:35-6:20 p.m.
StarSkate 2+ - 6:30-7:50 p.m.

REGISTRATION
Please take some time to read the important information below.

CREATING AN ACCOUNT
You will be required to set up an account. This can be done by clicking the “Login” button at the top right corner of the screen. There will be a pop up that will ask you to login or create a new account. Once you have created your account you will need you to add a skater. fA parent/guardian will hold the account and can add multiple skaters. If you have created a username for other UpLifter registrations you will need to create a new one specifically for the Bobcaygeon Skating Club Registration.

SELECTING A PROGRAM
Programs are listed by day. If you wish to skate on both of the days offered then you will add your skater to each of those programs. Once both days are in your cart, a discount will automatically be applied for the two nights. Fees this year are listed below. Please note the $75 volunterring fee and the $62.70 Skate Canada Fee are in addition to the registration cost.

Pre CanSkate is group skating lessons for children ages 3 & 4 with little to no skating experience.

CanSkate is group skating lessons for children ages 5 and older to learn the fundamentals of skating. Skaters ages 3 & 4 may enroll in this group if they can already skate independently. Skaters will work in groups with skaters of similar abilities.

Intro to Figure Skating is for skaters working on level 3 Canskate or higher, and/or have the coach's approval and have an interest in figure skating.

Figure Skating is for skatwrs who have passed StarSkate Level 1.

PAYMENTS
All fees will be summarized in an invoice and paid online through the registration system.

VOLUNTEERING CREDIT
As in past years if volunteer requirements are met, a credit will either be applied to your account or refunded to the card that made the initial payment.

REGISTRATION LINK
There is a limit to the number of skaters allowed on the ice for each session. We highly recommend registering early to avoid disappointment.
