🚦Crossing Guard Safety Reminder: Please Come to a Full Stop 🚦

Our crossing guards continue to report drivers rolling through stop signs and crosswalks near our schools.

This is one of the most common — and most dangerous — behaviours they see during the school year.

👉 A full, complete stop gives everyone time to see each other.
👉 It protects children who may be hidden from view.
👉 And it helps our crossing guards do their job safely.

SOY's Tools in the Trades Boot Camp is coming to these Ontario communities in the next few weeks:

October 1 • Electrical & Plumbing

Our hands-on Boot Camps give you the opportunity to explore a career in the trades, get practical experience and connect with industry professionals.

Not sure which trade is right for you? Come explore your options and get started.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or have a high school diploma. There is no upper age limit. Participants are eligible to attend one Tools in the Trades Boot Camp per calendar year.

The Town will be installing new trailhead signage at locations along the Trans Canada Trail on September 17. Work will take place throughout the day, and trail users may encounter large trucks on the trail or in Trans Canada Trail parking lots while installations are underway.

🚶‍♀️ 🚴 Please use caution when travelling through these areas and watch for work vehicles.
