Mummy’s Angels Botswana pledged a 12-month supply of Fludrocortisone drug to a 2 years old boy living with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), a lifelong condition in which his adrenal glands cannot produce enough of essential hormones. He requires daily hormone replacement medication which is what we received today.

A continuous 12-month supply provides immense peace of mind for his family, ensuring stability in managing this lifelong condition during these critical early years of growth.

Hope is on wheels for hundreds of people in Maun after 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘀 in collaboration with 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 donated 194 hand-cranked mobility carts to the community.

The donation aims to improve mobility and restore dignity for persons living with disabilities who previously struggled with movement due to lack of assistive devices.

The Ministry of Health will coordinate distribution to other districts to ensure areas with higher need also benefit from the donation. This was said by the Hospital Superintendent, Dr Lebogang Mokotedi earlier when giving welcome remarks.

Handing over the carts, Mr Boago Poloko from Elephant Heavens said the initiative was driven by the need to ensure that no one is left behind because of disability. Mobility is not a luxury, it is a basic human right. These carts will give recipients independence, allow them to get to work, school, and health facilities, and most importantly, restore their dignity,”

Kgosi Tatlhego Repheya of Disana ward welcomed the donation noting that many people with disabilities have been confined to their homes due to lack of transport.

The handover forms part of Elephant Heavens’ ongoing corporate social responsibility programs focused on community upliftment, conservation, and social welfare in the North-West District.
