🏥 NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE (NHI) BILL UPDATE 🇧🇼
📍 The Ministry of Health today briefed the Parliamentary Committee on Health & HIV/AIDS on the proposed National Health Insurance (NHI) Bill.
✨ The Bill seeks to:
✅ Expand access to quality healthcare for all.
💙 Protect families from high medical costs.
⚖️ Improve transparency and accountability in health financing.
🛡️ Safeguard public health funds through stronger governance.
🏥 Promote better quality healthcare and patient safety.
🗣️ What's next?
Stakeholder consultations will continue before the Bill is tabled in Parliament for debate and approval.

Over the weekend, the Kanye East Member of Parliament joined the Minister of Lands and Agriculture, Hon. Dr. Edwin Gorataone Dikoloti, community members, village leadership and other stakeholders in the official fence er****on exercise along the Tsoaneng–Sekhutlane containment line.
🤝 The initiative forms part of Government's ongoing efforts to contain the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) outbreak and protect Botswana's livestock industry and the livelihoods of farmers.
The impressive turnout and spirit of volunteerism demonstrated the power of collaboration in safeguarding our nation's livestock. Community members were encouraged to protect the newly erected fence and continue adhering to all veterinary protocols to help stop the spread of the disease.
Together, we can protect our livestock. Together, we can stop the spread of FMD. 🇧🇼🐄
