Hon. Nelson Ramaotwana Spreads Joy, Generosity, and Wellness in Gaborone South Ahead of Independence Celebrations
Gaborone South – September 2025
As Botswana prepares to mark its 59th Independence anniversary, the spirit of unity and compassion is already alive and thriving in Gaborone South — thanks to the unwavering dedication of Hon. Ramaotwana Nelson Ramaotwana.
On September 11th, Hon. Ramaotwana turned his birthday into more than a personal celebration — he made it a day of service, wellness, and joy for his constituents. Teaming up with esteemed partners such as the Red Cross, Diagnofirm, Access Bank, and several other organizations, he hosted a vibrant Celebration and Wellness Day. Residents benefited from health screenings, humanitarian support, entertainment, and heartfelt interaction with their Member of Parliament — showcasing his continued commitment to putting people first.
But Hon. Ramaotwana didn’t stop there.
In a heartwarming gesture rooted in Ubuntu, kindness, and community spirit, he donated six cows — one to each of the six wards in Gaborone South. This generous act not only supports community feasts and unity events but also symbolizes his dedication to fostering inclusivity and shared celebration during the Independence season.
“Botswana’s strength lies in the love we show one another. I am merely doing what I believe every leader should — serve with heart, lead with kindness, and stand with the people,” said Hon. Ramaotwana during the handover ceremony.
From wellness initiatives to traditional donations, his actions continue to resonate deeply with constituents, reinforcing a message of hope, solidarity, and pride as Botswana approaches another year of freedom and progress.
Hon. Nelson Ramaotwana is more than just a public servant — he is a champion of humanity, and the people of Gaborone South stand proudly behind his vision.
