YAB provides a platform for young entrepreneurs of Botswana to broaden, showcase & explore their potentials through their entrepreneurship endeavours in and out of the country.
- Empower the youth of Botswana through entrepreneurship.
-Assist in dissemination of business- related information through business summits, conventions, forums, workshops etc
e.g. the annual "Youth Business Summit" wh
ich commenced in 2012.
-Bridge the gap between young Batswana entrepreneurs and the corporate world in the world of business.
-Build collaborations with local and international start-up business funding and organisations such as CEDA, LEA, Kgalagadi Breweries Limited's Kickstart program, the Indigo Trust (United Kingdom based) and many others.
- Strive to assist local youth start-up businesses operate with the best practices, policies, ethics and procedures to remain within set local legal structures that concern the running businesses.
-Assist youth business start-up to discover future business partners and match- making activities in business expos.
-Assist aspiring young business men and women how to develop business ideas, write business plans, start-up and post start-up business mentorship. LEA & Kickstart provides general business mentorship programs.
- Promote the "Made in Botswana" initiative through youth businesses.
- Encourage youth businesses to adopt national strategies such as the national Vision-2016.
- Complement existing government initiatives such as Youth Empowerment Scheme, Young Farmers Fund, Youth Development Fund etc.
- Build collaborations with other organisations in the common area of business such as Junior Chambers International, J.A.B etc
