À l’occasion de la Journée de l’Afrique, Son Excellence Monsieur Patrick MUTOMBO KAMBILA, Ambassadeur de la République Démocratique du Congo au Botswana et auprès de la SADC, transmet, au nom de Son Excellence Monsieur Félix Antoine TSHISEKEDI TSHILOMBO, Président de la République Démocratique du Congo, ses chaleureuses salutations à tous les peuples africains.

Il salue la diversité culturelle, la richesse des traditions et les expressions uniques qui font la beauté et la force de l’Afrique. Cette journée rappelle l’importance de l’unité, de la paix, de la solidarité et de la coopération entre les nations africaines.

Son Excellence réaffirme l’engagement de la République Démocratique du Congo à contribuer, aux côtés du Botswana, de la SADC et de l’ensemble du continent, à la construction d’une Afrique plus forte, plus unie et tournée vers un avenir commun.

The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo to Botswana and SADC is pleased to announce the celebration of the first civil wedding held at the Embassy in Gaborone.

On 23 May 2026, Mr. Josué Kalelé Mukonkole and Mrs. Ketsia Mwema Kabemba were legally united in civil marriage before Mr. Malu Kabemba-Wanyi Frédéric, Minister Counsellor, acting in his capacity as Civil Registrar. The ceremony was conducted in the presence of witnesses, family members, and invited guests, marking a historic and joyful moment for the Embassy and the Congolese community in Botswana.

This milestone reflects the Embassy’s continued commitment to providing essential consular and civil status services to Congolese nationals living in Botswana and within the SADC region.

The Embassy extends its heartfelt congratulations to the newlyweds and wishes them a blessed marriage filled with love, unity, mutual respect, and happiness.

L’Ambassade de la République Démocratique du Congo au Botswana et auprès de la SADC a le plaisir d’annoncer la célébration du premier mariage civil organisé au sein de l’Ambassade à Gaborone.

Le 23 mai 2026, Monsieur Josué Kalelé Mukonkole et Madame Ketsia Mwema Kabemba ont été légalement unis par les liens du mariage civil devant Monsieur Malu Kabemba-Wanyi Frédéric, Ministre Conseiller, agissant en qualité d’Officier de l’État Civil. La cérémonie s’est déroulée en présence des témoins, des membres des familles et des invités, marquant ainsi un moment historique et empreint de joie pour l’Ambassade et pour la communauté congolaise vivant au Botswana.

Cet événement symbolique témoigne de l’engagement continu de l’Ambassade à offrir des services consulaires et d’état civil essentiels aux ressortissants congolais résidant au Botswana et dans la région de la SADC.

L’Ambassade adresse ses sincères félicitations aux nouveaux mariés et leur souhaite une union bénie, placée sous le signe de l’amour, de l’unité, du respect mutuel et du bonheur.

The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo to Botswana and SADC extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family, the Government, and the people of the Republic of Botswana following the passing of Former President, His Excellency Festus Gontebanye Mogae.

His Excellency Mogae will be remembered as a distinguished statesman whose leadership, humility, and commitment to democracy contributed greatly to Botswana’s development and international standing.

During this time of national mourning, the Embassy stands in solidarity with the people of Botswana and joins them in honouring the legacy of a leader who served his country with dignity and dedication.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

L’Ambassade de la République Démocratique du Congo auprès du Botswana et de la SADC présente ses condoléances les plus attristées à la famille éplorée, au Gouvernement ainsi qu’au peuple de la République du Botswana, à la suite du décès de l’Ancien Président, Son Excellence Festus Gontebanye Mogae.

Son Excellence Mogae restera dans les mémoires comme un homme d’État distingué, dont le leadership, l’humilité et l’engagement en faveur de la démocratie ont grandement contribué au développement du Botswana et à son rayonnement sur la scène internationale.

En cette période de deuil national, l’Ambassade exprime sa solidarité avec le peuple Botswanais et se joint à lui pour honorer l’héritage d’un dirigeant qui a servi son pays avec dignité et dévouement.

In the afternoon of 27 April 2026, His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence and War Veterans of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Advocate Guy KABOMBO MUADIAMVITA, was received by the Commander of the Botswana Defence Force, General Mpho CHURCHILL MOPHUTING, at the Botswana Defence Force Headquarters, Sir Seretse Khama Barracks.
The two military counterparts engaged in fruitful exchanges on the identification of priority areas of bilateral military cooperation, as well as on other high-level matters of mutual interest pertaining to defence and regional security.
This engagement reflects the shared determination of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Botswana to deepen their military ties and to consolidate the bonds of friendship and cooperation that unite the two sister nations, in the service of peace, security, and stability within the SADC region.

Dans l'après-midi du 27 avril 2026, Son Excellence Monsieur le Vice-Premier Ministre et Ministre de la Défense Nationale et Anciens Combattants de la République Démocratique du Congo, Maître Guy KABOMBO MUADIAMVITA, a été reçu par le Commandant des Forces de Défense du Botswana, le Général Mpho CHURCHILL MOPHUTING, au Quartier Général des Forces de Défense du Botswana, à la Caserne Sir Seretse Khama.
Les deux homologues se sont livrés à des échanges fructueux portant sur l'identification des domaines prioritaires de coopération militaire bilatérale, ainsi que sur d'autres questions de haut niveau d'intérêt mutuel relatives à la défense et à la sécurité régionale.
Cette rencontre témoigne de la volonté commune de la République Démocratique du Congo et de la République du Botswana d'approfondir leurs liens militaires et de consolider les bonds d'amitié et de coopération qui unissent les deux nations sœurs, au service de la paix, de la sécurité et de la stabilité au sein de la région de la SADC.
