Day 5 — The Grand Finale

And so the curtain falls on a week that gave stories a home.

From the quiet wisdom shared at our Book Talk, to the timeless rhythm of Dzongkha storytelling that carried our language and heritage forward, to the creativity unleashed through video storytelling, and finally, the magic brought to life on stage through our Readers Theatre performance — this has been a celebration of voice, culture, and imagination in every form.

Five days. Countless stories. One shared love for the art of storytelling.

To everyone who stood before an audience, wrote a script, whispered a folktale, or simply sat and listened — thank you for making this journey unforgettable. This isn't just the end of an event; it's proof that our stories, in every language and every medium, deserve to be told, heard, and remembered.

And because every great story begins with words — today's Vocabulary Corner rounds off our journey with a final dose of language magic. Expand your vocabulary, deepen your love for words, and carry them with you long after the festival ends.

A team from the Royal Bhutan Police (RBP), led by DCoP Dasho Pasang Dorji, conducted a half-day sensitization program on Crime and Drug-Related Social Issues.

The session highlighted the current crime and drug situation in the country, focusing on the shared responsibility of youth, parents, schools, communities, and law enforcement agencies in preventing crime and substance abuse. The importance of creating a supportive environment for youth, strengthening parental guidance, promoting responsible choices, and addressing social issues at an early stage was emphasized.

The program was attended by representatives from Gewog administrations, Business communities, BIFA, Royal Bhutan Police, Royal Bhutan Army, Students, and Teachers. The session reinforced the need for stronger collaboration among all sectors of society to protect our youth, support families, prevent drug abuse and crime, and build safer, more aware, responsible, and drug-free communities.

The School Administration extends sincere gratitude to Dasho for taking the time to engage with our students and community and for delivering such an informative, meaningful, and inspiring presentation. Their valuable insights and encouragement will go a long way in empowering and inspiring our youth to make responsible choices and become positive contributors to society.

Words took center stage today as finalists from Class 9 and Class 10 went head-to-head in an English Spelling Competition! The event aimed to boost learners' vocabulary and spelling skills while sparking a deeper love for reading and language.

Grand Finale: All Groups on Display
The Term II Learning Showcase, themed “𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆,” came to a memorable close with a grand exhibition where all 32 mentor–mentee groups displayed their models, prototypes, and creations together for their fellow students to explore and appreciate.

Learners moved from group to group, engaging with one another's work, asking questions, and learning from the diverse range of ideas brought to life over the week. The exhibition offered a wonderful platform for peer learning, allowing students to see firsthand the depth and creativity of concepts translated into tangible creations by their friends.

This culminating event stood as a true celebration of the Bhutan Baccalaureate learning practice, honouring the dedication of learners and the guidance of mentors that made this week of showcasing possible.

The Term II Learning Showcase, themed “𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆,” concluded today with the final 8 mentor–mentee groups presenting their models, prototypes, and creative works. With this, all 32 groups have successfully showcased their learning achievements over the course of the week.

The day marked a fitting culmination of the showcase, celebrating the hard work, creativity, and guidance of learners and mentors alike as they brought their learning experiences to life.
