Learning from Experience, Building for the Future

As part of the implementation of BanCotta – Banana Waste to Circular Green Enterprise, representatives from the BanCotta team, along with women artisans engaged in handicraft production, visited two renowned handicraft manufacturing and export-oriented factories in Rangpur.

The visit provided valuable practical exposure to handicraft production, product finishing, quality control, packaging, production management, and export-market requirements.

The knowledge and experience gained will support BanCotta in improving product quality, strengthening women’s technical skills, and developing market-ready and export-oriented banana-fiber handicrafts.

Learning → Improving → Producing → Connecting to Markets 🌿♻️

BanCotta — Turning Banana Waste into Value

What if agricultural waste could become a source of income, innovation and climate solutions?

Through BanCotta – Banana Waste to Circular Green Enterprise, Green Peace Youth Network is working to transform banana waste into valuable products while creating opportunities for farmers, rural women and youth.

From banana waste to fiber, handicrafts and organic fertilizer, BanCotta follows a youth-led Circular Economy Model—where waste is not the end, but the beginning of a new opportunity.

With support from the International Centre for Climate Change & Development (ICCCAD) Youth Innovation Fund 2026, we are building a greener, more inclusive and locally driven enterprise model from Rangpur.
