Government allotment of one and half crore taka for the development of college in Shalikha: Is the development of the area or the so-called loss?
Bangladesh government has allocated 1 crore 50 lakhs (1.5 crore) to build infrastructure and overall development of 'Munshi Shahidur Rahman Technical and Business Management College' located in Arpara of Magura's Shalikha sub-district. This huge math government allotment for an neglected or muffsable area educational institution is certainly a positive and pleasant news. But extremely sad but true, some local selfish palaces are spreading false, texture and misleading information on various media including social media.
Such a usual question in the conscious palace—does the development of an educational institution and government funding allotment really bring any harm to the area, or is it key to the overall development of the area?
Objective analysis shows that the allotment has no chance of damage to the area, but it will benefit far-stretching benefits. The main aspects of this are highlighted below:
1. Revolutionary change and modernization in education sector:
With this allocation of 1 crore 50 lakhs, modern academic buildings, laboratories and classrooms of the college can be built. Technical and Business Management College students will get hands-on learning opportunities, making them skilled human resources.
2. Prevention of falls and benefits of local students:
Poor and middle class family students of Arpara and surrounding areas do not have to go far and wide for better education. Higher education rates especially for female students will increase and reduce transportation costs.
3. Employment and Economic Growth:
When the infrastructure of a college improves, the number of students and teachers increases there. This causes a widespread expansion of business-commerce, mess or student residence business, shopkeeping and transport sectors in the areas adjacent to the college. Employment opportunities for local multi-working people even during construction.
4. Area dignity and real estate development:
An advanced educational institution increases the social status of any area. Road and infrastructure environmental development of Arpara area will accelerate and value of surrounding land will increase.
What is behind the confusion of the selfish palace?
According to education researchers and locally conscious citizens, there are obstacles or propaganda behind any good work. The development of this college is only those who are politically or personally jealous, or those who want to loot themselves by keeping the people in the dark and illiterate, are spreading false information. These propaganda spread through social media are completely baseless and expression of personal anger or narrow mindset.
This project worth one and half crore rupees in government funding is a blessing for Arpara and the entire Shalikha sub-district. Munshi Shahidur Rahman Technical and Business Management College will take the young generation from darkness to light. So instead of listening to harmful propaganda, people of all area should welcome this developmental work regardless of party work and stay united against any conspiracy.
শালিখায় কলেজ উন্নয়নে দেড় কোটি টাকার সরকারি বরাদ্দ: এলাকার উন্নয়ন নাকি তথাকথিত ক্ষতি?
মাগুরার শালিখা উপজেলার আড়পাড়ায় অবস্থিত 'মুন্সী শহিদুর রহমান টেকনিক্যাল অ্যান্ড বিজনেস ম্যানেজমেন্ট কলেজ'-এর অবকাঠামো নির্মাণ ও সামগ্রিক উন্নয়নের জন্য বাংলাদেশ সরকার ১ কোটি ৫০ লক্ষ (দেড় কোটি) টাকা বরাদ্দ করেছে। একটি অবহেলিত বা মফস্বল এলাকার শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের জন্য এই বিপুল অঙ্কের সরকারি বরাদ্দ নিঃসন্দেহে একটি ইতিবাচক এবং আনন্দদায়ক খবর। তবে অত্যন্ত দুঃখজনক হলেও সত্য, এই বরাদ্দকে কেন্দ্র করে স্থানীয় কিছু স্বার্থান্বেষী মহল সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমসহ বিভিন্ন মাধ্যমে মিথ্যা, বানোয়াট ও বিভ্রান্তিকর তথ্য ছড়াচ্ছে।
এমতাবস্থায় সচেতন মহলে একটি স্বাভাবিক প্রশ্নই ঘুরপাক খাচ্ছে—একটি শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানের উন্নয়ন ও সরকারি অর্থ বরাদ্দ কি এলাকার জন্য সত্যিই কোনো ক্ষতি বয়ে আনে, নাকি এটি এলাকার সামগ্রিক উন্নয়নের মূল চাবিকাঠি?
বস্তুনিষ্ঠ বিশ্লেষণে দেখা যায়, এই বরাদ্দের ফলে এলাকার ক্ষতি হওয়ার কোনো সুযোগই নেই, বরং এর মাধ্যমে সুদূরপ্রসারী নানা উপকার সাধিত হবে। নিচে এর প্রধান দিকগুলো তুলে ধরা হলো:
১. শিক্ষাক্ষেত্রে বৈপ্লবিক পরিবর্তন ও আধুনিকায়ন:
১ কোটি ৫০ লক্ষ টাকার এই বরাদ্দের মাধ্যমে কলেজের আধুনিক একাডেমিক ভবন, ল্যাবরেটরি এবং ক্লাসরুম নির্মাণ করা সম্ভব হবে। কারিগরি ও ব্যবসায় ব্যবস্থাপনা কলেজের শিক্ষার্থীরা হাতে-কলমে শিক্ষার সুযোগ পাবে, যা তাদের দক্ষ মানবসম্পদ হিসেবে গড়ে তুলবে।
২. ঝরে পড়া রোধ ও স্থানীয় শিক্ষার্থীদের সুবিধা:
আড়পাড়া এবং এর আশেপাশের এলাকার দরিদ্র ও মধ্যবিত্ত পরিবারের শিক্ষার্থীদের উন্নত শিক্ষার জন্য দূর-দূরান্তে যেতে হবে না। ঘরের কাছেই আধুনিক সুযোগ-সুবিধা সম্বলিত প্রতিষ্ঠান থাকায় বিশেষ করে নারী শিক্ষার্থীদের উচ্চশিক্ষার হার বাড়বে এবং যাতায়াত খরচ কমে যাবে।
৩. কর্মসংস্থান ও অর্থনৈতিক প্রবৃদ্ধি:
একটি কলেজের অবকাঠামো যখন উন্নত হয়, তখন সেখানে শিক্ষার্থী ও শিক্ষক-কর্মচারীর সংখ্যা বাড়ে। এর ফলে কলেজ সংলগ্ন এলাকায় ব্যবসা-বাণিজ্য, মেস বা ছাত্রাবাস ব্যবসা, দোকানপাট এবং পরিবহন খাতের ব্যাপক প্রসার ঘটে। নির্মাণকাজ চলাকালীনও স্থানীয় বহু শ্রমজীবী মানুষের কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ তৈরি হচ্ছে।
৪. এলাকার মর্যাদা ও রিয়েল এস্টেট উন্নয়ন:
একটি উন্নত শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান যেকোনো এলাকার সামাজিক মর্যাদা বৃদ্ধি করে। আড়পাড়া এলাকার রাস্তাঘাট ও অবকাঠামোগত পারিপার্শ্বিক উন্নয়ন ত্বরান্বিত হবে এবং আশেপাশের জমির মূল্য ও গুরুত্ব বৃদ্ধি পাবে।
স্বার্থান্বেষী মহলের বিভ্রান্তির নেপথ্যে কী?
শিক্ষা গবেষক ও স্থানীয় সচেতন নাগরিকদের মতে, যেকোনো ভালো কাজের পেছনে কিছু বাধা বা অপপ্রচার থাকে। এই কলেজের উন্নয়ন হলে যারা রাজনৈতিক বা ব্যক্তিগতভাবে ঈর্ষান্বিত, অথবা যারা এলাকার মানুষকে অন্ধকার ও অশিক্ষার মধ্যে রেখে নিজেদের ফায়দা লুটতে চায়, কেবল তারাই এ ধরনের মিথ্যা তথ্য ছড়াচ্ছে। সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমে ছড়ানো এসব প্রোপাগান্ডা সম্পূর্ণ ভিত্তিহীন এবং ব্যক্তিগত ক্ষোভ বা সংকীর্ণ মানসিকতার বহিঃপ্রকাশ।
সরকারি অর্থায়নে দেড় কোটি টাকার এই প্রকল্প আড়পাড়া তথা সমগ্র শালিখা উপজেলার জন্য একটি আশীর্বাদ। মুন্সী শহিদুর রহমান টেকনিক্যাল অ্যান্ড বিজনেস ম্যানেজমেন্ট কলেজের এই উন্নয়ন এলাকার তরুণ প্রজন্মকে অন্ধকার থেকে আলোর পথে নিয়ে যাবে। তাই ক্ষতিকর অপপ্রচারে কান না দিয়ে, এলাকার সর্বস্তরের মানুষের উচিত দলমত নির্বিশেষে এই উন্নয়নমূলক কাজকে স্বাগত জানানো এবং যেকোনো ষড়যন্ত্রের বিরুদ্ধে ঐক্যবদ্ধ থাকা।
