76 students (Ages 8–15), guided by volunteers of Recycling Saves The Earth.
🎯 Campaign Objective (Aligned with SDGs):
To educate children and the wider community on the importance of recycling and reducing plastic waste, while promoting environmentally responsible behavior to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:
• SDG 12: Promote responsible consumption by reducing single-use plastic.
• SDG 13: Take climate action through waste management education.
• SDG 14: Prevent plastic pollution from harming marine life.
• SDG 4: Provide quality education on environmental sustainability.
📝 Campaign Activities:
1. 🖼️ Poster and Slogan Creation
• Children created posters with strong SDG-linked messages:“Recycle Today, Save Tomorrow!”“No Clean Earth and Happy Heart”“Reuse to Reduce Climate Change!”
2. 🧃 Plastic Waste Collection Drive
• Students brought recyclable plastic items from home and the community.
• Over 10 kg of plastic waste was collected for proper recycling.
3. 🔄 Creative Reuse Workshop
• Hands-on activity: Students repurposed plastic into plant pots, pencil holders, toys, and art.
• Linked to SDG 12 (target 12.5): Substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse.
