Barrister Sagor moved a Public Interest Litigation highlighting that city dwellers are forced to use contaminated and health-hazardous water with insects daily which poses a threat to the right to life and public health of citizen also alleging the failure of Dhaka WASA to supply clean water.

Upon motion hearing, a Division Bench of the High Court Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh issued Rule Nisi and directed Dhaka WASA to take effective measures to supply clean and pure water.

Barrister Sagor is always committed to ensure and protect fundamental rights of citizen and public interest.

রামপাল বিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্রে কর্মরত বাংলাদেশি কর্মীদের চেয়ে অনেক গুন বেশি বেতন পাচ্ছে ভারতীয়রা। চরম বৈষম্যের শিকার বাংলাদেশী ইঞ্জিনিয়াররা।

🇧🇩 জনস্বার্থে একটি পাবলিক ইন্টারেস্ট লিটিগেশান (PIL) দায়ের করে দেখানো হয়েছে রামপাল বিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্রে কর্মরত স্থানীয় বাংলাদেশি চাকরিজীবীদের তুলনায় ভারতীয় চাকরিজীবীরা অনেক বেশি বেতন ও সুবিধা পাচ্ছেন, আর বাংলাদেশীদের উচ্চপদে নিয়োগের কোনো সুযোগই নেই রামপাল বিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্রে।

আমি দৃঢ়ভাবে বিশ্বাস করি, এই সমস্যা কেবল রামপালেই সীমাবদ্ধ না। এটা আরও গভীর। এটা আমাদের জাতিকে দুর্বল, অদক্ষ, অগ্রহনযোগ্য ও বিদেশনির্ভর করে রাখার একটি বৃহৎ ষড়যন্ত্র।

রামপাল শুধু একটি উদাহরণ—আসলে এটা পুরো একটি জাতিকে পিছিয়ে দেওয়ার গল্প ছিল।

Barrister Sagor moved a Public Interest Litigation concerning the severe mosquito infestation and public health threat in Dhaka city, alleging the failure of both Dhaka North and Dhaka South City Corporations to take effective measures. Dengue, chikungunya, and other mosquito-borne diseases are spreading widely in the capital.

After the motion hearing of this writ, a Division Bench of the High Court Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh issued Rule Nisi and directed both Dhaka North and South City Corporations to take urgent and effective measures to reduce the mosquito menace.

The Managing Partner of The Legal Era Barrister Sagor himself brought the action as pro bono publico in order to protect and ensure basic and fundamental rights of citizen.
