The 2025 Human Rights Law Award is proudly sponsored by Anti-Discrimination NSW in memory of their Immediate Past President, Helen McKenzie — a trailblazer for women in law and a champion of equality.

Helen led Anti-Discrimination NSW from February 2022 to March 2025 and sadly passed away in April. Her legacy continues to inspire.

Finalists for the Australian Human Rights Awards, including the Law Award, will be announced next month.

We are pleased to announce that Fayaz Anam Shonon, Youth Engagement Specialist at the Earth Development Foundation (EDF) will be joining us as the Moderator in our upcoming webinar Nutraceutical Futures: Sustainable Business for Communities

Fayaz is a development practitioner and advocate for social and environmental justice, working at the intersection of climate action and community development. Over the past four years, he has designed and implemented several national youth-focused initiatives in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy, Oxfam, British Council, ILO, ActionAid Bangladesh and others.
