๐๐ข๐-๐ฎ๐ฅ-๐๐๐ก๐ serves as an excellent reminder of our strong faith, absolute obedience, and unwavering submission to Allah (SWT) through the story of the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.) when he was prepared to sacrifice his son Ismail (A.S.) for Allah's sake. This was both a test of sacrifice as well as of Ibrahim's trust, patience, and commitment to Allah; and he demonstrated to all of us what it means to submit to Allah's command. Through this incident, we realize that Qurbani is not just about the animal that is being sacrificed, but about the level of sincerity and taqwa that we are able to reflect towards Allah (SWT) each and every time. Hence, Allah (SWT) says:
Surah Al-Hajj (22:37)
May this holy day be a reminder of what Qurbani really means to us all in terms of giving back; sharing love for one another through acts of charity; caring about others with an open heart; making sacrifices or being generous without expecting anything in return. May Allah (SWT) increase your faith as well as increase your appreciation for the blessings you receive from Him. ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฆ wishes everyone a wonderful, happy, and peaceful Eid-ul-Adha to you and your families.
