🌍 Earth Day 2026 Message from RGNS to the World

We speak from a place where climate change is not theory, but daily survival.

For the Rohingya community, polluted air, extreme heat, flooding, and waste are not future warnings they are present reality. We did not create this crisis, yet we carry its weight.

On Earth Day 2026, with the theme “Our Power, Our Planet,” we call the world to act with urgency and fairness. Climate action is not only about the future it is about justice for those already suffering today.

At Rohingya Green Nature Society (RGNS), we stand for awareness, responsibility, and survival with dignity.

This event is organized by leading academic and humanitarian institutions, including the Center for Southeast Asia Studies, Stanford Center for Innovation in Global Health, Youth Action for Myanmar, and the UC Berkeley Human Rights Center.

At a time when the Rohingya people continue to face displacement, statelessness, and severe humanitarian challenges, this discussion will highlight:

1. The historical struggle of the Rohingya for rights and recognition
2. Current realities in refugee camps in Bangladesh
3. The impact of global humanitarian funding cuts
4. The voices and experiences of Rohingya communities in exile
5. The long and complex path toward justice and peace

This platform reflects a growing global recognition of the Rohingya crisis and reinforces the importance of collective action, advocacy, and awareness.

Yesterday marked a meaningful step forward for education and collaboration in the Rohingya community. The Glory Future Foundation (GFF) visited the Rohingya Green Nature Society RGNS office to begin discussions on a future partnership aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education). Our shared vision is to establish an international-standard school in the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh, creating lasting opportunities for learning, growth, and empowerment.

The discussion was strengthened by the presence of Koshiro Ono, bringing valuable international insight. Alongside him were Sayd Khan founder of GFF and Ajas Khan founder of RGNS, together with senior members of RGNS, all united by a common mission to transform lives through education.

This is more than a partnership. It is a commitment to hope, dignity, and opportunity. By working together, we are laying the foundation for a future where every Rohingya child has access to quality education and the power to shape their own destiny.

We met in 2025, so After a full year, we were honored again to welcome our friends back to the Rohingya refugee camp in Bangladesh in 2026. Their return marks not only a continued commitment but also a renewed hope for meaningful collaboration under the Rohingya Green Nature Society (RGNS).

We were pleased to host Koshiro Ono, Japan-Bangladesh Coordinator at One Stop Co., Ltd., alongside representatives connected to the Glory Future Foundation, founded by Sayd Khan. Their visit reflects a shared vision and strong willingness to work together for sustainable impact in refugee camp.

During this visit, the RGNS team held productive discussions focused on future collaboration, particularly on initiatives aimed at building a greener, more sustainable camp environment. These conversations mark an important step toward long-term partnership and collective action for a better cohesion.

Eid Moments to Remember

On the third day of Eid, we at Rohingya Green Nature Society (RGNS) came together for a joyful and memorable picnic at our new office joined by all CEC members, dedicated team members, and some very special respected guests.

This gathering was more than just a celebration; it was a reflection of our unity, teamwork, and shared vision. From laughter and friendly conversations to moments of appreciation and togetherness, every part of the day strengthened the bond we share as one family.

Even in challenging times, moments like these remind us of the power of community, respect, and collective effort. RGNS is not just an organization it is a family where every member matters, every voice is valued, and every step forward is taken together.

May this spirit of unity continue to guide us as we work hand in hand for a better future. Together, we celebrate, we grow, and we stand stronger than ever.

Yesterday our Rohingya Green Nature Society (RGNS) team stayed active throughout the entire day, reaching the most vulnerable across the camp. While Eid is meant to be a time of joy and celebration, many orphaned children were spending the day without even a proper meal. With compassion and responsibility, we covered more than 33 locations and distributed biryani packets to over 1,000 orphaned children, so they could feel the true spirit of Eid with dignity and happiness.

This initiative was made possible through the generous support of our respected teacher. His kindness was not just a donation, it was a powerful message of care, hope, and humanity. Because of him, hundreds of children were able to smile, celebrate, and feel remembered on this special day. We sincerely express our deepest gratitude for his inspiring support.

We believe even small acts can create big change. In difficult times, unity and compassion make all the difference. We remain committed to standing beside our community and working for a future where no child is left without care, especially on days like Eid.

Alhamdulillah!

The Rohingya Green Nature Society (RGNS) successfully organized a special Iftar Program for our female team, bringing together dedicated sisters from our community in a warm atmosphere of unity, respect, and sisterhood.

This meaningful gathering created a safe and comfortable space where Rohingya women could come together, share the blessings of Ramadan, strengthen their bonds, and reflect on the importance of supporting one another in building a stronger community.

During the program, participants shared Iftar with gratitude and appreciation, while discussing the role of women and youth in community development, leadership, and positive change. The gathering was not only about breaking the fast together, but also about strengthening solidarity, encouraging participation, and empowering Rohingya women to be active contributors to a better future.

Programs like this remind us that when women and youth stand together with unity, compassion, and purpose, they become a powerful force for hope and progress in our community.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who continues to support and encourage the activities of RGNS as we work together for a stronger and more hopeful Rohingya community.

The Rohingya Green Nature Society (RGNS) successfully organized a meaningful and heartfelt Iftar Program that brought together RGNS members, the Camp Coordinator, team leaders, and more than 200 Rohingya youths in a spirit of unity, respect, and shared responsibility for the community. The program was honored by the presence of our special guests, Helal Uddin and Md Younus Arman , whose participation brought encouragement, solidarity, and recognition to the aspirations of Rohingya youth.

During the gathering, participants shared the iftar in a warm and respectful atmosphere, expressing sincere appreciation to the supporters whose generosity continues to uplift and empower Rohingya youth and the wider community. Their support reflects a strong belief in the potential of Rohingya youth to become responsible leaders who can guide their community toward a better and more dignified future.

More than a simple Iftar gathering, the program became a powerful moment of inspiration and unity. It strengthened the connection among members and created space for meaningful discussions, shared ideas, and renewed determination. The youths and members of RGNS reaffirmed their commitment to working together with integrity, courage, and vision to build a stronger, more hopeful future for the Rohingya community.

Congratulations to our RGNS Climate Officer, Arfat Uddin , on his remarkable achievement in the Zero Olympiad with certification from the United Nations . From the refugee camp to global recognition, he has shown that determination can rise beyond every barrier.

From the camp to the global stage, your achievement proves that limits do not define you. This certificate stands as proof of your skills and qualifications, especially for opportunities that may open in Turkey, Malaysia, or Saudi Arabia through the IOM - UN Migration and other United Nations initiatives. Your success is not just a certificate. It is hope for our entire community.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Faatiha Aayat , a respected voice at the United Nations, Harvard University, and Concordia University, and CEO of Zero Olympiad.
