Dear fellow citizens,
We express our sincere gratitude to you for casting your votes in large numbers throughout the day in such a positive and peaceful atmosphere.
However, we are not satisfied with the process surrounding the election results. From candidates of the 11-party alliance narrowly and suspiciously losing in various constituencies, to repeated inconsistencies and fabrications in unofficial result announcements, the Election Commission’s reluctance to publish voter turnout percentages, and indications that a section of the administration leaned towards a major party- all of this undoubtedly raises serious questions about the integrity of the results process.
Therefore, we urge everyone to remain patient and await the official programme of the 11-party alliance. Our struggle for justice in pursuit of a humane Bangladesh will continue, Insha’Allah.
প্রিয় দেশবাসী,
গতকাল সারাদিন শান্তিপূর্ণভাবে ভোট দেওয়ার জন্য আপনাদের সবাইকে জানাই আমাদের আন্তরিক কৃতজ্ঞতা ও ধন্যবাদ।
তবে নির্বাচনের ফলাফল তৈরি ও ঘোষণার ধরন আমাদের কাছে পরিষ্কার নয়। অনেক জায়গায় আমাদের প্রার্থীরা অল্প ভোটে রহস্যজনকভাবে হেরে গেছেন। ফলাফলে বারবার গরমিল ও সাজানো দেখা যাচ্ছে এবং প্রশাসনও নিরপেক্ষ ভূমিকা পালন করেনি বলে মনে হচ্ছে। এসব কারণে নির্বাচনের স্বচ্ছতা নিয়ে বড় ধরনের প্রশ্ন উঠেছে।
আমরা সবাইকে ধৈর্য ধরার অনুরোধ করছি। আমাদের জোটের পরবর্তী ঘোষণা না আসা পর্যন্ত অপেক্ষা করুন। একটি মানবিক বাংলাদেশ গড়ার লক্ষ্যে আমাদের ন্যায়ের লড়াই চলবেই, ইনশাআল্লাহ।
