Rik Hart, Administrator Mr Rik Hart, Administrator of Central Coast Council Mr Hart is husband to Lynda, they have two daughters together as well as two grandchildren.

Mr Rik Hart has been appointed Interim Administrator of Central Coast Council by the Minister for Local Government Ms Shelley Hancock MP following the announcement of a public inquiry into Central Coast Council, taking over in the role following Mr Dick Persson’s departure on 12 May 2021. Prior to Mr Hart’s appointment as Administrator, he was Acting CEO of Central Coast Council at the time it was

put into initial administration in November 2020, following suspension of the Council after a reveal of serious financial mismanagement. Mr Hart has previously served as General Manager at Parramatta Council, Inner West Council, Warringah Council, and Hutt City Council (NZ), with over 20 years leadership/CEO experience in government at local and state level in Australia and New Zealand. He has also worked at an executive/CEO level for 15 years in the private sector, five years of which he was working in East Europe during the communist regime. Mr Hart has a bachelor’s degree in science, majoring in botany and zoology and a Master in second class honours in Agriculture Science (Plant Pathology). Under his leadership, Mr Hart has taken a council that was under administration in 2008 to the most progressive NSW council in 2015 and winning the AR Bluett Memorial Award. HOUSE RULES
