It just makes sense that regional drivers see the value in changing to EVs. Home-grown electricity makes for affordable travel and addresses the cost of living in a big way. Freedom machines!

There is now much greater choice in EVs owing to government policy (New Vehicle Efficiency Standard (NVES)) that gives certainty for industry investors and manufacturers. FBT treatment is also a useful incentive for some. Lower interest EV loans are available for others.

Appetite for EVs in regional Queensland has surged with ownership growth outperforming South East Queensland.

QLD coal generators are not as unreliable as older ones in other states, but the older they get, the more unreliable they are.

Just stupid the QLD LNP policy to pour money into supporting these increasingly unreliable, unhealthy, and highly polluting electricity generators.

Everyone is getting reduced electricity bills because of 'cheaper home batteries' - cheaper if you have the battery, and because it's reducing the use of gas at night, it means cheaper bills for everyone.

Just dumb and expensive, the QLD LNP energy policy.

No need to imagine. Some cities in China have mostly zero emissions, low-noise vehicles. Great to see Volvo Group in Wacol manufacturing zero emissions trucks (800 jobs there). Jobs elsewhere in Australia made electricity to run these things.
