Great idea to get ready for summer weather. Check out your wardrobe to swap it up for summer. And the donation money raised goes to helping people in Nepal.

Please come along to our Clothing Swap at Tecoma Uniting Church Hall, 1566 Burwood Hwy, Tecoma on Sunday 13th Sept at 11:30am. All very welcome. You are vey welcome to bring in 3 clean, usable items per person (kids can bring more as we know they grow out of their clothes so quickly). We are accepting games & puzzles as well. So if it is time to update your wardrobe or trade in a game or two please come along.

Church is at 10am followed by the Clothing swap at 11:30am. Please come and join us. All very welcome.

We welcomed members from our local Hindu temple, Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Bhuj - Melbourne today when they generously donated over 300kg of much needed pantry food. Thanks so much for this food, many local people will not go hungry once it is shared between the local agencies.
Love the generousity of our local community, people caring about others in need.

Fabulous fun and a great honour for Marilyn from Outer East Foodshare to cook on stage alongside Lillie Giang using great produce from Josh, Farmers Pick, at the Zero Waste Victoria Festival yesterday. Amazing how much healthy food could be cooked in 1 hour using the induction cooktops from SEC Victoria. Great to share samples of food to encourage people to eat more fresh veg. And loved meeting the original garden gnome in person!!

Congratulations to one of our important drivers, Emma Tucker. Outer East Foodshare collects food 7 days per week and Emma collects every Saturday and Sunday for us, as well as looking out for extra sources of surplus food. She was captured during today's shift unloading the van.
All volunteers are valued, and we are proud Emma was a finalist in this year's Tilly Aston Award. Thanks to Mary Doyle MP's office for presenting these awards.

🔹 Are you free in the mornings?
🔹 Can you help us collect food and get it to people who might otherwise go without?

🚐🚐🚐 We're in need of volunteer drivers to take our 3 tonne vans out on the road, making regular pick ups from local supermarkets and businesses. You'll bring their donations back to our Hub in Wantirna for sorting and distribution to food relief agencies in the outer east.

There is lifting (of up to 15kg) involved and all volunteers need to have or obtain a Working With Children Check. Of course, you'll need a current driver's license or if just being out and about is what appeals to you we need driver partners too!

Our drivers get to see firsthand the generosity of businesses in our community. No two days are the same, and our drivers are the first to be amazed and surprised by what they collect when the van rolls in.

A wonderful generous donation of pantry foods from Tarralla Kindergarten. Many thanks to Liz, the Kindergarten asked families to collect pantry food to help people in need. They brought in lots of bags of food.
Outer East Foodshare is very happy to share this food out to families in need across our area.
