🏀 That’s a wrap on the 25/26 Slammers season! 🏀
What an incredible way to finish, celebrating together at presentations yesterday and reflecting on another fantastic season.

Our JCC’s had an outstanding run:
🏆 4 x Championships
🥈 3 x Runners Up
👏 7 x Semi Final finishes
💪 4 x Quarter Final appearances

An amazing effort by all players, coaches, and families involved — we couldn’t be prouder!

We also want to take a moment to recognise two very special people — our President Cam Tuesley and Vice President Rachel Grant. After 6 years of dedication, passion, and countless hours of hard work, they are stepping down from their roles. Their contribution to Slammers has been nothing short of incredible, and they will be greatly missed. Filling their shoes will be no easy task.
With that said, we are now looking for people to step into these roles. If you’re interested or would like to learn more, please reach out — we’d love to hear from you!

🙏 A MASSIVE thank you to our amazing sponsors who supported Slammers throughout the season:

Also a big thank you to Port Elliot bakery for the delicious donuts 🍩

Your support means everything to Slammers and helps make what we do possible.

💙 ❤️ 🤍 Thank you again to everyone who made this season so special — we can’t wait to do it all again!

What a weekend Slammers family! Resilience, sportsmanship, teamwork and skill, all in Slammers singlets, were everywhere we looked.

One of our most successful seasons on record, with the U12-U16 State Champs results, combined with our U18 State Champs results, seeing Slammers teams come home with a bevy of wins across all age groups and divisions.

4 x Championships

3 x Runners up

7 x Semi Final finishes

4 x Quarter Finals or rounds

U12 D1 girls – Champions! Fought through an immense challenge from Port Pirie to take home the title, composure under pressure and decision-making on display – what a future for our girls!

U12 D2 girls (playing D4) – their growth was plain to see as they recorded multiple wins and finished in the Semi Finals. Loved the excitement and creativity on display in this team.

U12 D1 boys – defensive grit and teamwork defined these boys – a tough semi loss did not detract from their incredible season…like the girls, a bright future ahead.

U12 D2 boys (playing D3) – resilience is the word for this group. Absences, illness and injury had them running with 5 for a while…and yet they still gave the competition a shake, going out in a close QF against a strong D1 team.

U12D3 boys (playing D5) – runners up who needed just a few more seconds to steal the title. They went 6-1 for the weekend and came back from 6 down with a minute to go in the GF to lose by 1.

U14D1 girls (playing D2) – Champions! A young and developing team who just kept battling, a well-deserved win built on defensive effort and ball movement.

U14D2 girls (playing D3) – were in everything all weekend – beaten in a tough semi by a D1 team but they brought a physical and committed defensive and team effort too.

U14D1 boys – one of the tightest competitions of the weekend, high quality teams everywhere you looked. These boys continually put up the scores needed to win but it didn’t fall their way against a hot-shooting Mildura in their QF.

U14D2 boys (playing D3) – despite being 4-1 at the end of the rounds, head to head cost them the better QF route and they narrowly went down to a strong Barossa team.

U14D3 boys (playing D5) – runners up! After a long and tough season, this team saw the reward of sticking at it, finishing with some great wins and runners up!

U16D1 girls (playing D2) – single figure losses everywhere they looked, the defensive performance top of the comp, but just not consistently able to convert at the other end to grab the wins.

U16D1 boys – a narrow loss in their semi-final in another hotly contested div 1 competition. They were there in the fight and just couldn’t quite get it done this time.

U16D2 boys (playing D3) – another narrow semi-final loss against a very strong Eastern Hills team, but this almost completely bottom-age team looks prime for future success!

U16D3 boys (playing D4) – runners up! These boys just kept fighting in every game and worked their way through a tight pool to face undefeated Eastern Hills in the GF, improving from their earlier result.

U16D4 boys (playing D5) – played a heartbreaker of a semi-final, going down by 1 pt to Mt Gambier, giving themselves every opportunity to win it.

Now, it’s on to the Slammers Presentation day on March 28th – we will see you all there to celebrate the season, to honour our players and our incredible volunteers!

Wow Slammers! What a massive few days!

With 12 out of our 15 teams taking the court in semi finals tomorrow, that’s an absolutely incredible effort. We are so proud of every player, coach, and family who has been part of the action this weekend.

Let’s finish it off with a bang tomorrow! 💥🏀

A quick reminder for all teams — please bring a spare pair of clothes for your player to change into after their last game so they can return all hired uniforms to your team manager.

Good luck to everyone playing tomorrow… Go Slammers! 💙❤️🤍🏀🏆

With just a fortnight between carnivals for our U12–U16 crews, our Slammers fam packed the cars again and headed to the Yorkers Carnival… and what a weekend it was! 💙🏀

🔥 RESULTS TO CELEBRATE
🏆 U12 Division 1 Girls – WINNERS
🏆 U12 Division 1 Boys – WINNERS
🥈 U16 Division 1 Girls – Runners Up (competing in D2)
🥈 U16 Division 1 Boys – Runners Up

Back-to-back carnivals is no small effort – especially for our families, players and coaches and referees who give up so much time to make it all happen. The early mornings, the road trips, the team dinners, the sideline cheers… it’s all part of what makes our Slammers family so special.

We think we can all agree – it’s absolutely worth it for the memories made with our Slammers fam 💙

Now… bring on State Champs in 2 weeks! Fixtures are already out, so start planning your weekend and let’s get around our teams again 🙌

Go Slammers! 💥🏀
