The Gold Coast Suns are currently seeking a First Nations artist to design their 2027 AFL Men’s and Womens Indigenous Round Guernsey.

This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase culture, storytelling, and creativity on one of the biggest stages in Australian sport.

🏃🏽‍♂️‍➡️🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️ The annual Cairns NAIDOC Edor Carnival is around the corner, and approaching fast 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♂️

If you haven’t registered your children yet, now is the time! Make contact with Marc Harbrow [email protected] and secure their spot at one of Far North Queensland’s most exciting community events 🔆🔆

Edor is a highly popular Traditional Indigenous Game that has been played for generations and generations right across the Far North. A very fun and inclusive running and tagging game highly played in Cape York and the Torres Strait Islands.

Each year, Harbrow Mentoring proudly partners with Our Future Mentors to deliver a FUN, SAFE and ENERGETIC carnival where families, friends and community come together to celebrate during Cairns NAIDOC Week.

Expect a fantastic day where:
✅ Children can burn off plenty of energy
✅ Families can relax and cheer from the sidelines
✅ Delicious foods to enjoy
✅ Live entertainment to keep the atmosphere buzzing
✅ A heap of fun during the School Holidays

Explosive things are happening across our beautiful Far North Queensland 🔆🔆🔆

This morning, intelligent conversations, information sharing, and collaborative ideas filled the room at HM’s Biri Bana Connect Sip & Yarn networking gathering. As the coffees started flowing, the conversations got stronger.

There is always magic that happens when First Nations businesses come together, but what’s even more inspiring is what happens after events like this happen. Connections create opportunities, ideas turn into action, and collaborations grow stronger 👣

These are the moments that quickly remind us of the WHY behind what we do. Every now and then, we cross paths with young men and women we haven’t seen since their teenage years. Seeing young adults thriving is something truly special 🔆

Meet John Bon, now a young man working full-time with Tide & Time Transport, helping make travel between Horn Island and Thursday Island a breeze.

John was once a youngster living in Cairns who consistently attended every Harbrow Mentoring program over a five-year period as a teenager. To now see him living life with a big smile on his face, working hard and creating his own pathway, is something we are incredibly proud of.

Director Marc Harbrow had the opportunity to catch up with John during travels. Outstanding achievement by this fine young man. Keep shining John 💫 💫 💫

Great yarns, strong connections, and deadly conversations at the Thursday Island Blak Coffee event held at Island Stars Cafe with Joey Laifoo and Lola Digital Kantesha Ward.

Blak Coffee is a grassroots Indigenous business networking event connecting micro and small business owners across regions around Australia each month. Originating in Queensland, it continues to create powerful spaces for mob to connect, share ideas, support one another, and grow opportunities.

What a great networking event and another reminder of the strength, talent, and innovation happening throughout our communities.

Founding Directors Marc & Jarrod Harbrow say thank you. Yirrganydji Bama's, local products of Cairns and now in its 16th year of Business, delivering Leadership, Mentoring, Sports and Event Facilitation.

Harbrow Mentoring is built on the relentless hard work, intelligence and sheer determination of its exceptional team members since inception.

We are incredibly proud and grateful of our partners, the ongoing community support, and the many people we’ve had the privilege to connect with during the journey.

Marc and Jarrod are inspired everyday to help others, to be a lending hand, to chip in wherever possible. We are very fortunate and thankful to be part of a truly inspiring team of 16yrs.
