HAAT Member Jeanette Starr- Celebrating Two Awards at the Royal Easter Show!

We are excited to share that Jeanette Starr has received two awards this year at the Royal Easter Show!

Jeanette's oil painting “Heading West” was awarded The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW Art Prize, presented by the RAS President, for the best Rural Subject painted in a Traditional style.

As well as a Highly Commended in Figurative Painting with oil painting “Best Buddies”.

Congratulations Jeanette! And make sure you head down to the Show this year! 🥳🎉🎨

Discover creative studios, hands-on activities, fabulous shop fronts, beautiful galleries and artworks from Trail members like Piggery Lane Studios & Gallery, Yvonne West Fine Art Studio, Jeanette Starr's Little River Art Studios, Marcia Rea Fine Art Gallery, Artistic Directions - Karen Tanner, Janelle Wymer's Zilch Artz Studio, Old2Bold, The Hawkesbury Regional Gallery, and Richmond Art Supplies.

Explore the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery this upcoming HAAT Open Studio Weekend, 30th & 31st August!

It is located on the first floor of the Deerubbin Centre, 300 George Street, Windsor NSW 2756, and will be open from 10am to 3pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Hawkesbury Regional Gallery is home to a lively mix of Fine Art, Photography and Design, showcasing both the Hawkesbury’s rich creative history and fresh, original works from today’s artists.

There’s plenty happening too - from artist talks and workshops to after-school and holiday programs for kids. Adults can join in with creative classes like Life Drawing, while little ones enjoy hands-on art and craft sessions.

Specialising in artisanal up-cycling and repair of vintage furniture, Allyson brings new life to pre-loved pieces with paint, waxes, and unique finishes—all with a strong commitment to sustainability.

Beyond furniture, Allyson also creates stunning bespoke Pressed Metal Artwork, often commissioned for homes and commercial spaces. Her works can be found at Schembrae’s Restaurant, Chapel Hill Retreat, and The Cottage Kurrajong. Each piece is hand-framed at Old2Bold using reclaimed hardwood, often sourced locally from the Hawkesbury.

Come see the beautiful works of our Trail Member, Yvonne West!

Yvonne West Fine Art Studio is located at 46 Douglas Street, Hobartville (Richmond), NSW 2753.

Yvonne has travelled widely across Australia and overseas, drawing inspiration to create works rich in colour and design. From traditional landscapes in oils, acrylics, and watercolours, to delicate flora and fauna pieces in pastels, and even bold contemporary abstracts in mixed media — her art is wonderfully diverse.

Her achievements include many awards, with the most prestigious being Second Prize at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in 2012 for her work “Still Life with Dancers”.
