💜 Story of the Day 💜

Today I had one of those moments that reminds me God is always at work, even in the most ordinary places.

I was at the chemist when a lady received a phone call from her doctor. Right there in the shop, she got the news she had been hoping and praying for — the diagnosis was negative.

Without hesitation, she threw her hands in the air and said, “Thank You, God!”

It wasn’t quiet. It wasn’t hidden. It was genuine gratitude and praise.

After her call, I told her, “That just made my day. Seeing you thank God like that was beautiful. I’m so glad the results were good. God’s got this.”

For a moment, a busy chemist became a place of worship, relief, gratitude, and hope.

Sometimes we pray for miracles and sometimes we get to witness someone else’s answer to prayer.

Today reminded me that God is everywhere — not just in church, but in chemists, supermarkets, workplaces, and ordinary everyday moments.

Thank You, Lord, for little reminders that You are always with us. 🙏💜

“Who Will Be There for You in Old Age?”

People often ask that question as though having children guarantees comfort, companionship, and care in later years.

But life tells a different story.

Many parents spend their lives making sacrifices for their children. They work long hours, put their own dreams aside, and give everything they have to create a better future for the people they love.

Yet, despite all they give, some find themselves facing old age feeling lonely and forgotten.

I once knew a woman who had seven children. Seven lives she nurtured, protected, and devoted herself to. Her children were her purpose, her strength, and her motivation to keep going through life's hardships.

But when she needed support the most, none of them were truly present.

Because children are not a guarantee against loneliness.

Love cannot be demanded, inherited, or expected simply because of family ties. Genuine care grows from mutual respect, shared values, kindness, and meaningful relationships built over time.

Some people never have children, yet their lives are filled with loyal friends, caring neighbors, and loving companions because they spent years planting seeds of compassion and goodwill in the hearts of others.

At the same time, there are people surrounded by relatives who still feel completely alone.

Old age should never be feared, and children should never be viewed as a retirement plan.

No one deserves affection that is given out of guilt or obligation.

In the end, the relationships that sustain us are not defined by blood alone, but by love, respect, and genuine human connection.

The greatest gift in life is not having people who must stay by your side, but having people who choose to.

💜 This Absolutely Made My Day 💜

Recently, a lovely young lady came into my shop with her mum and found this beautiful dress.

Today they came back to show me how gorgeous she looked in it. They even gave me a hug!

Moments like this remind me that I’m not just selling clothes and treasures. I’m helping people find something that makes them feel special, confident and happy.

Thank you, Alison and Sam, for brightening my day. Seeing your smile was worth more than any sale.

This little side-street shop is slowly becoming a place of friendship, kindness and community, and my heart is very grateful today. 🦋💜

💜 My Heart Is Full Today 💜

Today reminded me why I opened Redeemed and Rehomed by Creative Kindness.

A lovely lady and her daughter came into the shop recently and found a beautiful dress. Today they came back, not to buy anything, but just to show me how gorgeous she looked wearing it. They gave me a hug and shared their excitement with me.

That simple act of kindness absolutely made my day.

This little shop isn’t just about selling dresses, homewares and treasures. It’s about people, conversations, smiles, friendships, and those special moments that remind us how much a little kindness can mean.

I’ve also had people stop because I waved, customers come back for a second visit, and new faces finding their way through the door. Every single one of you means more to me than you know.

So today I’m feeling very grateful. Thank you to everyone who supports my little business, shares my posts, waves back, pops in for a chat, or makes a purchase. You’re helping build something really special.
