🏆🔴⚪ GO TRAF — GRAND FINAL BOUND! ⚪🔴🏆

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to the Trafalgar Seniors on making it through to the 2026 Football Grand Final! 🎉

Now it’s time for Trafalgar to get behind them and paint the town RED & WHITE! ❤️🤍

The Trafalgar & District Chamber of Commerce is encouraging our local shops and businesses to decorate their windows, shopfronts and workplaces with red and white in the lead-up to the big game.

Flags, streamers, balloons, posters — the bigger and brighter, the better! Let’s make sure everyone coming through town knows that TRAF IS GRAND FINAL READY!

If you need any help with posters or decorations, please contact the Chamber.
And the best part — any posters and decorations can be kept and reused for the next event too!

🔴⚪ GOOD LUCK TRAFALGAR SENIORS — THE WHOLE TOWN IS BEHIND YOU! ⚪🔴

Congratulations to the Warragul Drouin Gazette who were named Media Outlet of the Year at the Rural Press Club of Victoria, out of a very tough field of finalists.

In the last sitting of parliament I spoke about the importance of regional journalism. The fact that some of our local papers, like the Phillip Island & San Remo Advertiser have been around for over 100 years. The Gazette, Latrobe Valley Express and Gippsland Sentinel-Times have decades of stories as well.

The people who tell our local stories with local voices are professional journalists who give care and responsibility to their craft. They are there through sporting triumphs, natural disasters and community milestones.

And that’s hugely important to the future of our region.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A TREASURER!

This position would suit a retired accountant (or similar) that has an interest in history. They will be part of a dedicated group of volunteers that manage the town. Typical responsibilities will be budgets, expenses, confirming wages, approving accounts, working with assets managers on financial matters etc.
