🌟 Stanton Lodge Outreach Program – Graduation 🌟

What a wonderful achievement to celebrate! 💚🖤

This term, selected students had the opportunity to participate in a fantastic outreach program delivered by visiting staff from Stanton Lodge.

Throughout the program, our students developed new skills, explored woodwork and the art of wood burning, and proudly created their very own pieces.

On Friday, our students graduated from the program and proudly showcased their amazing creations. Their hard work, creativity, persistence and growing skills were certainly something to celebrate! 👏💚

A huge thank you to the visiting staff from Stanton Lodge for providing this valuable hands-on learning experience and supporting our students to develop new skills and confidence.

What a fantastic day of problem-solving, creativity and teamwork at STEM Sports!

Our students put their STEM skills to the test across three exciting challenges:

🧱 LEGO Challenge
🤖 Sphero Challenge
💻 Minecraft Education Challenge

Our Aitkenvale teams did an amazing job, working together, thinking creatively and showing persistence as they tackled each challenge.

🏆🤖 A huge congratulations to our Aitkenvale Year 5 team, who were awarded Runner Up Overall for Teamwork! What an outstanding achievement!

We are incredibly proud of all our students for the way they represented Aitkenvale State School and embraced every challenge throughout the day.

A big thank you to all our wonderful families who came along to our Aitkenvale State School P&C Disco on Thursday evening! 🎶💃🕺

It was fantastic to see so many children and their families enjoying the music, dancing, laughter and fun together. What a wonderful evening for our school community! 💚

A special thank you to Janelle Poole MP for generously donating the sausages for the event. Your support is greatly appreciated! 🌭

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing staff who contributed their time, energy and enthusiasm and volunteered their time to help make the evening such a success. We truly appreciate everything you do to support our students and school community. 🖤💚

Thank you also to everyone who supported the Aitkenvale State School P&C by purchasing food, drinks and treats. Every dollar raised by our P&C goes straight back into supporting our school and our students.

We are so grateful for the incredible support of our families, staff and wider community. Events like this help bring our school community together and create wonderful memories for our children. 🖤💚

Parents and carers, please take a moment to check the trolley and collect any belongings that may belong to your child.

💚💛 R U OK? DAY – THURSDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER 💛💚

R U OK? Day is a wonderful opportunity to remind our students that looking out for each other starts with simple, everyday actions. For primary school-aged children, checking in doesn’t have to be complicated. It can be as simple as asking a friend, “Are you OK?” and taking the time to listen. 🫶

At Aitkenvale State School, we encourage our students to:

💬 ASK – Check in with a friend who may not seem themselves.
👂 LISTEN – Give them your attention and listen without interrupting.
🤝 BE KIND – Include others, share, help and use friendly words.
💚 SUPPORT – Let a trusted adult know if someone needs extra help.
😊 CHECK IN – Remember to ask again and let your friend know you care.
❤️ LOOK OUT FOR OTHERS – A smile, a kind word or inviting someone to play can make a big difference.

Our children don’t need to have all the answers. They just need to know that kindness, listening and caring for others matter.
