Krystal is our events and marketing coordinator. She has been a delight to work with. Patient, organised and talented with creating content particularly for Farmfest. Stickers, flyers and posters- Krystal is all over it.

➡️What motivated you to get involved in politics and community advocacy?

I want my children’s future to be safe and prosperous.

➡️What is one issue facing everyday Australians that you’re most passionate about improving?

Finance and cost of living.

➡️If you could change one thing in your local community tomorrow, what would it be?

Improve infrastructure without breaking rate payer banks.

➡️What does “People First” mean to you personally?

It provides hope for security in Australians future finances both in government and for Australians and their children by implementing strong policies and governance to ensure everything is fair.

➡️What is a life experience that has shaped your values and perspective?

I danced ballet for a number of years, it taught me discipline, persistence and how to push through when you think you can’t.

➡️Who has been the biggest influence on your life and why?

Brene Brown, I love her books, she has helped me through times where I needed clarity. She is so genuine and honest.

➡️What is one book, podcast, or person that has inspired you?

Stephen Covey - 7 habits, he helped me to learn to shift my paradigm, sharpen the saw, begin with the end in mind and seek first to understand- THEN to be understood, put your big rocks first.

➡️Tell us one interesting fact about yourself that most people wouldn’t know.

I spent my first years as a child growing up on a farm, I loved raising the lambs that my grandad would bring home, playing inside the chicken pen and catching any animal I could find.

Everyone, please meet Alex 👋

Alex, is the GOLDEN WEST Secretary.
She has done a wonderful job with recording meetings, making phone calls to NEW members and shining bright at Farmfest. ⭐️

We asked Alex a few questions so you can get to know her better - before you join us as a new member 😉

➡️What motivated you to get involved in politics and community advocacy?

I wanted my daughter to have a secure and safe future. How the world is going I fear that she won't have her own house or be safe walking the street in her own country.

➡️What is one issue facing everyday Australians that you’re most passionate about improving?

Childcare. I don't know who is being hired in those centres as seen on the news kids are getting sexual assault, phyically abuse or have story time with drag queens. I want my child to be raised by someone who will love them, keep them safe and actually teach them and not just put them outside to play. I see parents struggling financially and having to send their kids there because they have to work.

➡️What does “People First” mean to you personally?

Community.

➡️What is a life experience that has shaped your values and perspective?

Having a family and getting married. I learnt the meaning of family and taking care of others. Its something that should be extended to all.

➡️Who has been the biggest influence on your life and why?

My husband. He is my biggest supportive, best father and he honestly makes me want to be a better person everyday. He encourages me to speak higher of myself when I feel like I don't do enough.

➡️What is one book, podcast, or person that has inspired you?

Sophie World. It's a beautiful book about Philosophy.

➡️Tell us one interesting fact about yourself that most people wouldn’t know.
