Brisbane Valley Heritage Trails

Brisbane Valley Heritage Trails To promote the historical significance of the Brisbane Valley and surrounding Districts” Welcome to Brisbane Valley Heritage Trails.

Brisbane Valley Heritage Trails (BVHTs) is a not-for-profit organization located in the Brisbane Valley that was incorporated on 3 September 2004. Its objectives are (1) to provide heritage leadership in conservation and heritage listing, (2) to develop partnerships with community and Government organisations to further the conservation of our heritage and (3) to provide readily accessible learnin

g experiences about the history of the Brisbane Valley for the community in general and the touring public in particular. To this end we have heritage listed the Colinton War Memorial, the rail bridge at Harlin and the Yimbun rail tunnel; we have the support of the South Burnett, Toowoomba and Somerset Councils and we share some of that history on interpretive signage, Facebook and website https://brisbanevalleyheritage.org.au/. Our members are drawn from the Somerset, Toowoomba and South Burnett Regions. We meet on the first Thursday of each month at locations ranging from Fernvale to Nanango, including Lowood, Coominya, Esk, Toogoolawah, Harlin, Colinton, Linville, Moore, Benarkin, Blackbutt, and Yarraman. Our meetings are open to the public, visitors are welcome. The original website was sponsored by Bendigo Bank. We are happy to share these historical resources.
