One notable symptom of a supposed "improvement" of Austra-Sino relationship is the further deterioration of the state of housing unaffordability. The Chinese have never lost the appetite for Australian real estate, the only hurdle was their own government that had been baring them from "investing" (money laundering) into our country during the economic sanction period:

With the rising interest rates and skyrocketing cost of rent, many Australians are price-out of purchasing their own home, and some are even left without a roof over their head, meanwhile, there is a group of people who are very eager to buy up as many Australian properties as possible, and with cash that are questionable in origin; though of course that is not an area that the realtors nor the Government would like to look into:

What many do not realise is that China's demographic timebomb can bring forth its downfall. Thanks to the ill-conceived one-child policy, China is faced with a skewed demographic with a retired population percentage that could even surpass Japan's. Ultimately, it might be China's short-sightedness that will finally end the CCP:

As the majority of world trade is still reliant on shipping, he who controls the sea will control the world economy.

With China soon to be the dominant military in the Pacific Ocean, the only way to secure a rule-based international maritime order is through a Pacific Alliance of likeminded nation that are committed in maintaining the status quo of freedom of navigation, and respect for the sovereignty of nations both big and small.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning

Mark McGowen's visit to China highlight's the state's economic dependence on China and it is currently vulnerable to any political fluctuation that is innate to any dictatorship, unless the state diversify its economy or clientele, it will be at the mercy of China, and this will be a security and strategic crisis to Australia overall.

Shadow home affairs minister James Paterson issues warning about China's attempts to "shape Australia's information system", as a new report finds vast majority of "Chinese-Australians" access news on "heavily censored" platforms "rife with foreign state disinformation" - Namely WeChat, Tiktok and other Chinese propaganda machine, and don't forget that they too will be voting in elections that affects your everyday life.

At last! The Steve Mosher talk from a fortnight ago.

Unfortunate we had a bit of issue with setting up and so a few minutes of the talk in the beginning was cut out, however the context of the missing bit was the One Child Policy of China and that pregnant women were treated as criminals by the State.

ANZUKUS?

New Zealand, New Zealand, can we count on you as a part of the team once again? New Zealand has signalled its interest to participate in the non-nuclear pillars of the AUKUS alliance.

"New Zealand has confirmed interest in talks to join the non-nuclear pillar of AUKUS.

A week after Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta visited top Chinese diplomats, who raised concerns at the military tie-up between Australia, the United Kingdom and United States, Defence Minister Andrew Little says scoping talks are under way.

"We have been offered the opportunity to talk about whether we could or wish to participate in that pillar two aspect of it. I've indicated we will be willing to explore it," "

Apart from many dangerous and outright cringy trends, did you know that TikTok is a security risk especially since it is owned by the Chinese company Bytedance?

Despite repeated denials, TikTok has been found to be sending user data to China, and the app could be used as a backdoor to spy on anyone from ordinary citizens to sensitive figures. The Parliament of UK and New Zealand, as well as many Australian Government department have already imposed internal ban on the problematic app, now U.S security experts are calling on an expansion of the ban.

Have your say: Do you think we should impose a blanket ban on TikTok in Australia?
