Last week, students from Mercy Catholic College joined us at Muston Park as part of the school’s annual Outreach Day.

During the activity, students learned about local catchment management and the importance of caring for our waterways and bushland. They then put that knowledge into practice by collecting rubbish and planting native plants along Scotts Creek, helping to improve habitat and the health of the local environment.

Mercy Catholic College’s annual Outreach Day gives students an opportunity to give back to the community through a range of community service and environmental activities.

Thanks to the students’ fantastic efforts and enthusiasm, Muston Park is now a little cleaner and greener, with new native plants helping to support the creek and surrounding bushland. 🌱

💡 Got an idea that could make a real difference in our community? You could apply for a Community Grant.

More than $200,000 is available in 2026/27 to support local projects that strengthen connection, participation and creativity across the Willoughby community.

With demand for community funding growing, we’ve updated the Grants for the Community Program to support a fair and merit-based process and help fund projects with the greatest community benefit.

🏆 Grants of up to $10,000 are available, with a range of funding opportunities for eligible community groups, sporting organisations, small businesses, social enterprises, performing arts groups and individual artists.

📅 Round two applications are now open and close 11 October 2026.

What a day! 🎉
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to Chatswood StreetFair last Saturday and helped make it such a fantastic celebration of music, culture, food and community. 💛

There was so much to enjoy, with incredible performers, more than 170 stalls, great food and activities throughout the day. Most of all, it was the crowds who brought StreetFair to life! 🙌

And the fun doesn’t stop there… Emerge Festival continues until 12 October, with plenty more music, art, culture, food and community events happening across Willoughby City.
