Congratulations to Andrew Page, Precise’s Fleet and Operations Coordinator and a member of the NSW SES Auburn Unit, for being awarded Life Membership in recognition of more than 33 years of outstanding service.
Andrew joined the NSW SES at just 17 after a couple of friends convinced him to come along to a training night. More than three decades later, those friends have moved on, but Andrew has stayed — driven by a genuine commitment to helping others.
Over the years, he’s been on the frontline of major emergencies across Western Sydney, including the 2012 Penrith and Hawkesbury storms and the 2017 Hills Hailstorm. He’s also deployed well beyond his local area, responding to some of the state’s most significant events such as the 1997 Thredbo landslide, the 2019–20 bushfires, and even an interstate deployment to Victoria in 2023.
As the Auburn Unit’s first in water flood rescue operator, Andrew has played a key role in strengthening the Unit’s flood rescue and storm response capability, helping it become one of the most flood rescue ready units in the state.
Andrew says he’s “a bit humbled” by the recognition, but his service speaks for itself. It’s the same level of commitment, respect and loyalty that he brings every day to his role with Precise, and it doesn’t go unnoticed.
“At the end of the day, I don’t look for the medals, stars and stripes, I do what I do for the love of doing it,” Andrew said.
Thank you, Andrew, for your service to our community.
