MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS, OWEN!

We are incredibly proud to congratulate our Year 11 student, Owen Callinan, on being selected as a recipient of the prestigious 2027 Premier’s Anzac Prize!

The Crisafulli Government has announced eight Queensland students who will embark on the journey of a lifetime to the United Kingdom, France and Belgium, alongside two teacher chaperones.

The 2027 Premier’s Anzac Prize student recipients are:
Aliza Palasara, Mansfield State High School
Charlie Bargh, Warwick State High School
Owen Callinan, Meridan State College
Lucy Mowbray, All Hallows' School
Erin Maher, St Monica's College - Cairns
Isabelle O’Hara, Mackay North State High School
Isabelle Wilson, Robina State High School
Lucinda Rowan, Somerville House.

The Prize encourages recipients to discover Australia’s rich Anzac legacy and develops their understanding of our nation’s military history by walking in the footsteps of fallen soldiers at historic war sites.

In addition to the overseas tour, students will participate in a range of events and learning experiences, including Remembrance Day commemorations and the Young Historian Workshop and White Gloves Experience at the State Library of Queensland.

Owen, this is an incredible achievement, and we couldn’t be happier for you! We look forward to seeing you embrace this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and represent Meridan State College with pride.

Congratulations, Owen! What an outstanding achievement!
