🚀💻 DESIGN. CREATE. INNOVATE. AT BRIGHTWATER! 💻🚀

We are incredibly excited to celebrate Riley H from 4JS, who has achieved Silver Place in the Makers Empire Competition! 🥈🌟

Using 3D design and digital technologies, Riley took his ideas from imagination to creation, demonstrating creativity, problem-solving, persistence and some fantastic design thinking along the way.

At Brightwater, technology is about so much more than using a device. It’s about giving our students opportunities to create, experiment, solve problems and bring their ideas to life. Achievements like Riley’s are a wonderful example of those skills in action.

🎨🌟 CELEBRATING PEYTON! 🌟🎨

A huge congratulations to Peyton for her fantastic effort in the Keep Australia Beautiful Week ‘Most Beautiful Place on the Sunshine Coast’ Drawing Competition! 🌿☀️

The competition invited local students to put their creativity to work and draw what they believe makes our beautiful Sunshine Coast so special.

Peyton was also lucky enough to welcome The Honourable Ted O'Brien MP to Brightwater and share in the celebration of her achievement. 🎨👏

We love seeing our students getting involved in opportunities that connect their creativity, learning and local community. Well done, Peyton! 💙❤️

🌊🌟 FROM AN IDEA TO REALITY! 🌟🌊

A pretty special full-circle moment for Poppy-Evie! 💙

When she was in the early years of primary school, Poppy-Evie shared her ideas for the Mooloolaba Foreshore Revitalisation, with a focus on making our community more accessible and inclusive for everyone.

Fast forward a few years and construction is now well underway! Stage Two is creating new community spaces, accessible pathways, an all-abilities beach access ramp and improved facilities, with works planned for completion in early 2027.

How wonderful for Poppy-Evie to see a project she contributed ideas to as a young student now taking shape in her own community. 🌊👏

We are very proud to see a Brightwater student’s voice being celebrated beyond our school gates! 💙❤️

A huge congratulations to our Brightwater students who represented our school at the Japanese Speaking Competition at UniSC! 🎤🇯🇵

🥇 Anna achieved 1st place, with two of our students also receiving Highly Commended awards!

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Congratulations to our amazing students! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

A huge congratulations to Emily, Gemma, Marley and Wyatt for their outstanding effort in attending and participating in the Regional track and field trials. Your dedication, sportsmanship, and commitment are something to be proud of.

A special congratulations to Gemma and Wyatt, who have been selected to attend the State Track and Field Championships in Brisbane! 🎉

Gemma placed 2nd in both 800m and 1500m races. She will compete in both events at the State trials. Wyatt came second overall in the Tetrathlon so will compete in high jump, long jump, 100m sprint, 200m sprint and shot put.

The State Championships will be held from 12 to 14 October 2026 at the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre (QSAC), Brisbane.
We wish Gemma and Wyatt the very best as they represent our school at the state level. We are incredibly proud of all four students and their achievements! 👏🏅

🌟💙 A WALK OF FAME FOR OUR SUPPORT STAFF! 💙🌟

Today we rolled out the Brightwater Walk of Fame for some very special people, our incredible support staff! 👏⭐

Our students lined the way to cheer, clap and celebrate the Teacher Aides, office team, cleaners and Schools Officers who do so much behind the scenes and across our school every single day.

It was a pretty special moment and a wonderful way to say a very BIG thank you for everything you do for Brightwater! 💙❤️
