This little fella was a relocation this afternoon and thought it was a good share for all those keepers who are reluctant on pushing up food sizes, although not recommended it goes to show what they are capable of eating, I see some people that are feeding hopper mice to almost adult sized snakes and wondering why they are nippy.
Wild yearling coastal thats eaten a small adult rat and will be in our care for 72 hours with supplemented heat to assist this little guy in digesting his huge meal.
**It's not real fair to relocate this guy to the bush across the road until he is a bit more mobile, his extra large meal has made him more vulnerable to predators so we try to give them the best chance for a successful relocation.

This little fella played hard to get inside a refrigerator motor, I learnt over 20 years ago after brushing against a capacitator that the first thing is to switch off and unplug it in one swift motion, without even taking your eyes off the snake, its like the subconscious is constantly eliminating any risks and a sharp mind and fast hands are 100% basic requirements 😜

These guys have to be right up there for one of Australia's cutest elapids 😘 the bandy-bandy (Vermicella annulata), this guy was quite spunky and had some how wrapped his tail around my little finger quite tightly during the release 😳 it took a lot of gentle coaxing to get him to let go of me.

We are a non for profit reptile relocation service, we do accept donations to keep us operating and anything extra is put towards local wildlife care programs, we are passionate about reptile education and reducing human/snake interactions.
We are fully licensed, DES certified, fully insured and 100% compliant and we very carefully select the release site areas to make sure we achieve the best possible outcomes each and everytime.
I have spent a ridiculous amount of time out bush and in the wilderness over the last 30 years, have studied and have a greater understanding of the ecological requirements needed for successful reptile relocations.

Another brute of a python at well over 2 meters again, I really had to work hard to get this fella and it took several trips back and multiple attempts to get him out of a brick wall cavity, even when I got my hands on him he had the sheer strength to drag my full body weight across the rafters. Unfortunately he had set up camp in a spot that the clients cat frequents and it was only a matter of time until he had it, he was relocated within the distance outlined by DES in an absolutely perfect area with a high population density of bandicoots so hopefully he stays in his new home with a great food supply and away from people.

AMAZING AISHAH SAVES THE DAY! - YET SOME IDIOT THREW ROCKS AT HER FOR CATCHING A BROWN SNAKE

Aishah is only 18 years old yet has already helped many people around town in Melbourne protecting them from venomous snakes.

Only finishing year 12 last year, Aishah already has graduated with a Cert III in laboratory studies, is currently studying in TAFE and is running a small home business selling candy online. If you need lollies go to: https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/BeesweetAustralia?fbclid=IwAR3jX_oqnRZbhY8CBVE7Hn9c-i9hFSJDqS35dvgY25MDVMwHlranRt9xwGY

Today, Aishah caught a deadly eastern brown snake in the front yard of a property in Wollert. As she was putting the snake away, a fully grown adult man walking past watched this and thought it appropriate to scream obscenities at her and throw rocks at Aishah and the snake. The snake then bit Aishah's pants (not her) as she was distracted by said moron.

Aishah managed to successfully put the snake away and the family was very grateful. Aishah is OK.

So far, Aishah has been abused for being a "girl" snake catcher, people have said "this is not a job for a woman" (when she rescued a group of men from a snake), and today.

Even though Aishah is OK, I'd like my 75000 supporters to help remind Aishah and the world that she is amazing at what she does rescuing people from snakes.

The best news of all is Aishah recently got accepted into Melbourne University next year to study a Bachelor of Science! Everyone join me in congratulating Aishah! :)
