It was wonderful to see our community come together to share the blessings of Iftar, strengthen friendships, and celebrate the spirit of togetherness and gratitude during this holy month of Ramadan.

Press Release – Association of Nepal Terai in Australia (ANTA)

The Association of Nepal Terai in Australia strongly condemns the mass killings of peaceful student protesters in Nepal. The brutal use of bullets against unarmed youth is a grave violation of human rights and democratic values.

We stand in solidarity with the families of the victims and Nepal’s youth, who are demanding justice, accountability, and a better future.

We call for:
Immediate end to violence against peaceful demonstrators
Independent investigation into the mass killings
Protection of freedom of speech and peaceful protest
Genuine dialogue with Nepal’s youth

This tragedy marks a dark chapter in Nepal’s history. Justice and accountability must prevail.
