🚢 COMING AND GOING – PORT LINCOLN FROM ABOVE!

A couple of interesting vessels captured around Port Lincoln, and two very different stories!

⚓ HMAS Eyre (204) is visiting Port Lincoln ahead of Saturday's historic Freedom of Entry parade along Tasman Terrace, celebrating 125 years of Naval service and the Navy's connection with our community.

🌬️ Pacific Sunstone is a rather unique fuel tanker featuring three massive 22-metre wind-assisted sails. These aren't traditional sails — they use clever aerodynamic technology to harness wind energy, helping reduce engine load, fuel consumption and emissions.

📸 Both vessels were photographed from above using fixed 5× and 7× zoom, allowing me to capture the detail and clarity from a distance.

Two very different vessels, showcasing naval service and the future of commercial shipping, right here in Port Lincoln!

🌅 A couple of lovely highlights from today!

🪶 An emu dad taking his three chicks for an afternoon stroll near Tulka was a wonderful sight to see!

A car travelling from Port Lincoln towards Tulka slowed down and put its hazard lights on, as did I, while the little family slowly made their way off the road. With good visibility and plenty of distance, approaching vehicles had ample time to slow down safely. 🚗🪶

🌅 And to round off the day, a stunning sunset looking west from Kirton Point, with brilliant reds and oranges lighting up the evening sky.

Just another reminder of the natural beauty we have right on our doorstep here on the Eyre Peninsula! ❤️
