Tonight, our Junior and Senior Choirs take to the stage at the **Queensland Youth Music Awards (QYMA) Gold Coast** at A.B. Paterson College.

After months of rehearsals, dedication and teamwork, we are incredibly proud of every student representing PSPC through the performing arts. Your commitment, confidence and love of music shine brightly, and we know you will do your very best.

A special thank you to **Miss Filkorn** for her passion, leadership and support in preparing our students for this wonderful opportunity.

🏅 Kokoda Schools Challenge 2026 🏅

What an incredible achievement! Today, all five of our teams successfully completed the 18km Kokoda Schools Challenge, tackling rain, mud, challenging terrain, and every obstacle the track could throw at them.

The Kokoda Challenge is about far more than physical endurance. It embodies the enduring ANZAC spirit and the values of courage, mateship, sacrifice, perseverance, and resilience. Our students demonstrated these qualities every step of the way, supporting one another through difficult conditions and refusing to give up when the journey became tough. We could not be prouder of their determination and teamwork.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our wonderful school community and families for your encouragement, support, and enthusiasm throughout the day. Your belief in our students helps make experiences like this possible.

We would also like to acknowledge our dedicated standby crew, Oliver and Mrs Garai, whose willingness to step up and support the challenge exemplified the spirit of teamwork that underpins this event.

To our incredible staff, Mr McMillan, Mrs Swanepoel, Mr Nixon, Miss Patten and Mr MacK, thank you for the time, energy, and commitment you invested in preparing, mentoring, and supporting our students. Events like this simply would not happen without your dedication and care.

The outstanding organisation, countless hours of planning, and unwavering dedication she has invested have once again ensured that our program ran flawlessly. Her passion for providing meaningful experiences for our students is evident in every detail, and we are incredibly thankful for the commitment she continues to show year after year.

Congratulations to all of our participants. Through rain, mud, and 18 kilometres of challenges, you demonstrated what can be achieved through determination, teamwork, and resilience. You have done yourselves, your families, and our school community proud.
