I have this conversation a lot too. This is explained very well.
Bees eat pollen, it’s one of the foods they need to develop and grow. Pollinating flowers happens as part of their foraging.

For a future queen, the worker bees will build a different size/shape cell that the queen will then lay her fertilised egg into. Fed on a diet of royal jelly for her entire larval development she will grow into a queen. 🐝
