Bathurst Goldfields Kids Holiday Panning

Be guided through the museum displays and see the various methods of gold mining, the tools and machinery used, from man and horse power through to steam power.
At the outdoor museum, help operate the authentic machines used during the 1850s.
Then head to the blacksmith shop where the guide will create a work of art in steel. Try your hand at panning for real gold. Keep what you find!

Dates -

MONDAY 13 - FRIDAY 17 JANUARY
MONDAY 20 - FRIDAY 24 JANUARY

1pm - 3pm
Adult & high school age $20; primary age $10; under 5yrs free. Children must be accompanied by paying adult.

Looking for something a little different to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays?

Why not bring them along to our school holiday tours and let them experience how life was back in Colonial Australia!

Loads of fun and they will learn something too!

Tours run for 2 hours and commence at 1pm (weekdays only).

Admission is $20 per adult, Primary school aged children are $10 each and kids under 5 are free.

Family of 4 is $50.

No need to book just meet the guide at the Visitors Centre.
