This week we are Celebrating Our Volunteers – National Volunteers Week!

National Volunteer Week in Australia runs from 18–24 May 2026. This year’s theme is "Your Year to Volunteer", encouraging Australians to get involved in ways that fit their capacity and schedule.

Last Friday, we enjoyed a lovely morning tea with our volunteers, giving us a chance to extend our heartfelt thanks to them. Their generosity, compassion, and dedication make a meaningful difference every day, and we are deeply grateful for the time and energy they give to support our community.

Many of our programs could not run if it was not for the support from volunteers.

If you see volunteers around the organisation, please give them an extra special thank you for their contribution this week and throughout the year.

Happy National Volunteers Week!

Degustation day at our Cultura Residential recently, with residents and families invited to sample and co-design our winter menu alongside our kitchen team.

Our chefs are creating meals that feel like home and are restaurant-quality dishes. All prepared fresh on-site each day with seasonal ingredients.

The menu is all about comforting winter soups, spectacular dishes like paella and freshly baked desserts.

Better care starts with listening, and this survey will identify barriers, improve access and deliver services that meet multicultural community needs.

This is all about making sure healthcare is free, safe and close to home, so it works better for every Victorian.

From access to interpreters and translated information to tackling discrimination in service delivery – the survey will drive change where it’s needed most.

Survey insights will be shared through a Listening Report later in the year.

This will help to guide future policy planning and the next Multicultural Health Action Plan.

The survey is available in 14 community languages including Arabic, Chinese, Greek, Vietnamese and Punjabi.

The survey is now open and closes on 31 May 2026.
