Sadly our potraloo has been vandalised for the fourth time over the last 12 months. As a result we have decided to lock the portaloo when we are not at the garden.

This is very dissapointing and it restricts the use of the garden. The vandals damage the pump. This costs us $159 each time this has to be replaced.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes to every one who comes to the garden to enjoy the space.

We work very hard to make the garden a space that every one can enjoy. Sensless vandalism ruins this for every one.

We have parsnips, yacon and jerusalem artichokes for sale at the garden.
These are bagged up into 1kg bags on the produce stall.

Why not make some artichoke, leek and bacon soup on these cold winter days. We have provided some recipe sheets for you to try
Yum.

Parsnips are great baked or boiled. Mash them up with potato and carrot.

Yacon is best eaten raw on its own, or in salads. You can add it to smoothies or used for juicing. It has a sweet flavour and tastes like a juicy pear.

Come down and grab a bag for $5 each.

It was very sad to find that in the very early hours of Saturday morning 1am to 5 30am the garden was vandalised. A lot of our displays have been broken or taken. These are things we have worked hard to make trying to bring a little bit of fun for kids at the garden.
Our giant bee was pushed over and broken, our lady bug was removed and dumped as well of a lot of other things were pushed over or broken beyond repair.
This damages was done by kids and they were there for about 4 hours in the dark.
If any one hears any information on who might be involved we would love to hear as the police have been notified.

These are just a few photos of the damage which was done.

We have plant pots to give away. Please feel free to collect from the garden.
