The application for 53.22 Use and development of the land for a Place of Worship (BAPS Hindu Mahā‑ Mandir), including associated buildings and works, access to the TRZ2 (Western Port Highway), native vegetation removal, creation and variation of easements, and any reduction or waiver of bicycle facility requirements, is now live.

Council is not the decision maker regarding this application.

The application is being assessed by the Victorian Government's Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) through the Development Facilitation Program, with the public notice period now underway.

DTP is managing the assessment process, including public consultation and consideration of community submissions.

Council officers will review the proposal and provide feedback to DTP on matters such as planning policy, traffic, infrastructure, environmental impacts and local considerations.

Council will continue to provide information to the community about its role and any key process updates as they become available.

Once upon a while ago I ‘did’ a few markets and it’s not for the faint of heart.

Yesterday started with a gym session, included Afternoons with Brigitte Duclos from ABC Melbourne 774 and finished with starting planning for the 27/28 Budget.

Highlights of yesterday included listening to Casey Choirs Casey Choir and Cranbourne Chorale at Bunjil Place, accompanied by a pianist on one of Bunjil's piano. More please 🩷🩷🩷. Both choirs are open to new members.

And meeting three of the comedians behind the upcoming Brown Comedy: Up and Comers Showcase coming to Bunjil on the 12th September, including host Annie Louey. Tickets are still available and start from $15 for a group of 6.

It was wonderful to be able to showcase some of the creative people we have in Casey on State Radio and to experience the energy and enthusiasm that is the essence of why arts matter.

Today is TGIF with Charlie Pickering, and at last look there were still some tickets available. I'll be there, and I know Mayor, Cr Michelle Crowther is also attending.
