𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞?

For some, it was holding on as floodwaters rose. For others, it was rebuilding a business, rescuing livestock, or finding the strength to start again. As we begin preparing for another cyclone season, we're launching the Living Library. A collection of powerful video stories from local people who lived through the devastating 2023 floods.

These are real stories from neighbours, first responders, business owners and community members. Honest, personal accounts of fear, loss, determination and hope. Stories that remind us we weren't alone, and that resilience is built together.

Getting ready isn't just about emergency kits and plans. It's also about learning from those who've been there before, strengthening our connections, and building a more resilient community for the future.

🎥 Take a moment to watch, listen and learn from the people behind these stories.

Senior Social Worker Cassie Jones from Mossman Multipurpose Health Service will be visiting Mossman Library to provide information about Advance Care Planning and why it is important to plan ahead for your future health and personal care.

The session will cover important topics such as age care services and options in our community.

This is a great opportunity to learn more, ask questions, and gain a better understanding of how you can plan for the future with confidence.

Everyone is welcome to attend!

🫟🎨The final school holiday activities at the Mossman Library were two gentle afternoons, where families could drop in and enjoy: dotting up diamond stickers, painting spinning tops, colouring scratch art and assembling beaded suncatchers.

🤩We always enjoy catching up and sharing the fun with local and visiting families over the school holiday period. We look forward to families enjoying the library space at any time.
